Kohinoor

The host, Sabina, is a GEM of a woman! I had to kill a few hours until my sleeper train and she stored my luggage all day. Not only that, but she fully made tea for me and gave me snacks while I waited and we had a lovely conversation. There really is a great family vibe as the grandma has her friends over in the courtyard to chat, so it feels like you're very much part of their household. The location is excellent in a quiet residential area, not too far from the Registan. The breakfast is amazing and my room was clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend this guesthouse!

Nothing.

As foreign travellers to Uzbekistan and especially ancient and heritage town like Bukhara which relies on tourism and hospitality - I urge fellow travellers to support small local business like this family managed homestay. Authentic feel, genuine warmth and every penny goes to the local family instead of global chain hotelier in their starchy suits and year-end yatch bonuses. Do the right thing, and stay here! 😊😁 Big mention to the kind lady Sabina❤️ Say hi to your cat for us 🐱

Not particular of the fault of the owner, but the entire Bukhara old city require a major sewerage overhaul. However the smell is a small problem which can be covered with some room freshener and by closing the toilet door

Kohinoor Guest House exceeded my expectations. I was immediately struck by the warm welcome from the host, as well as by the beauty of the property and my wonderfully colourful room. The stay was very comfortable, and the breakfast was simply delicious. The guest house is just a two-minute walk from the beautiful Chor Minor and less than ten minutes from the very central Lyab-i Hauz, while still being wonderfully quiet in the evenings. Highly recommended for anyone looking to make their stay in Bukhara truly special.
