Lodge Drveni Kutak

Coziness of the cabin, quiet location, ambiance of the area, welcoming host. Quite close to most spots in Tara; Mitrovac is a few minutes by car. One of the best viewpoints of the lake is ~5 minutes by car from this cabin

No kettle (only stove and a pot to boil water in), water heater switch location was not obvious, fireplace door does not close very tight (still safe though) thus the fire burns quicker. Note: do not use google maps for the final ~200m of the road, see openstreetmap (overall we found OSM to be much better for navigating Tara national park) or satellite. Good road is fine for any car

This wooden cabin was perfect. It gives you full feeling of winter and nature and how people lived in some previous times. It has fireplace, and it is so nice.

The one thing that was tricky, is that cabin is in valley and you have two climbs when you want to go somewhere else at the mountain. And we had a problem doing that because it was ice and snow, but with the help of our host, we succeeded.

If you're looking for a more authentic mountain lodge experience, I can't recommend this place enough. Incredible hosts and a beautiful location surrounded by woods.

The house's location is excellent, easily accessible to the many hiking trails, with a market and restaurant nearby. The lodge is comfortable, with all essential facilities. The host was welcoming and ready to help with all that was needed. A great experience!
