Wonderful memories

We would absolutely choose to stay at Chambre d'hotes La Merciere again. It is located in the heart of Lyon in a very quiet neighborhood only 3 to 4 blocks from the Rhone river! The hosts were wonderful to us. Upon prior arrangement they collected us from the airport and made sure that we were aware of all of the best sites in Lyon and exactly how to get there. Our room was very comfortable and completely private and the breakfasts were delicious. Lyon is a very pedestrian friendly city and is easy to navigate.

The location was awesome and the breakfast was delicious, the owners were a really nice cheerful and helpful couple, they even let us leave our stuff there while we waited for the evening train.

It was mainly the fact that there was no lock on the door of the room. While they were nice and obviously didn't intrude at all, it still felt awkward, specially in the beginning when we didn't really know them.

Wonderful hosts, delicious homemade breakfast

Pierre and Danielle were fantastic hosts, very friendly and willing to help us with everything. The apartment is very close to the heart of Lione, just 5 minutes away on foot from the beautiful Rhône river. Finally, the breakfast was just superb, especially the homemade jams and the delicious "brioche aux pralines"!

The perfect home from home in Lyon.

The hosts were exceptional. We had a problem with our car and they could not do more to help. The apartment is perfectly located, very clean and well looked after. Breakfasts were lovely with fresh orange juice, delicious apple compote and home made jams. Pierre was happy to point out some lovely restaurants and suggestions for things to do. They were even kind enough to cope with my very limited French even though Madam spoke excellent English.

The owners of the property are wonderful. They are knowledgeable and helpful. The breakfast was scrumptious. The room was very comfortable and sparkling clean. It is within walking distance to many of the sights of Lyon.

This is a small bedroom and bath within a small 2-bedroom apartment with owners living just outside your bedroom door. They were very nice but I was expecting more privacy!

Gita a Lione

La camera è all interno di una abitazione privata molto bella e curata. La stanza ha il bagno privato. I padroni di casa sono persone deliziose e disponibili. La colazione è super, preparata dalla padrona di casa con marmellata fatta da lei e brioche fresche tutte le mattine. L’appuntamento è vicinissimo al centro e molto comodo .

Une vraie chambre d’hôte puisque les propriétaires, retraités, sont présents dans l’appartement. A votre arrivée, vous visiterez le salon/salle à manger auquel vous aurez accès pendant le petit déjeuner servi jusqu’à 9h. Vous disposerez en toute liberté de la chambre avec salle de douche privative chez ce couple soucieux de l’écologie qui mettra à votre disposition pour 4 nuits 1 serviette de bain par personne, sans futiles serviettes à main et à cheveux.

Es una habitación en la casa de una familia y no se puede estar más cómodo y bien acogido. Es muy silencioso y limpio. La familia es muy amable y atenta. La habitación tiene su propio baño, con lo que tienes total intimidad. El desayuno que te prepara la señora es estupendo. Está muy bien ubicado ya que se puede caminar al centro y a la estación de tren Part Dieu. Muy recomendable.

Das Gastgeber-Ehepaar sehr freundlich. Obschon das Zimmer in ihrer Wohnung ist, sind sie überhaupt nicht aufdringlich. Die Wohnung befindet sich in einem sicheren Gebäudekomplex ca. 10 Gehminuten vom Ufer der Rhone. In die Altstadt sind es ca. 20 Minuten. Das Frühstück war sehr gut mit selbstgemachter Marmelade und Apfelkompott. Zudem Gebäck von einer Lyoner Spezialitäten Patisserie. Eigenes Bad mit Dusche, WC und Haarföhn.

Ausstattung hochwertig und individuell, blitzsauber. Das Frühstück war phänomenal, liebevoll angerichtet mit Lyonnaiser Spezialitäten. Das allerallerbeste waren die freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Gastgeber! Sie hatten für alles eine Lösung, sichere Unterbringung meines Dreirads und medizinische Hilfe, ohne die wir unsere Tour nicht hätten fortsetzen können. So herzlich und aufmerksam, wir haben uns sehr zuhause und willkommen gefühlt!

Sehr herzliche Gastgeber, Unterkunft direkt bei den Gastgeber mit Frühstück im Wohnzimmer der Gastgeber. Sehr gute Qualität des Frühstücks mit Spezialitäten aus Lyon und hausgemachter Konfitüre. Praktische Ausgangslage für Besichtigungen. Vom Gastgeber haben wir klasse Restaurantempfehlungen bekommen.

Leider ist das Zimmer nicht abschließbar. Auf der deutschen Seite ist nicht klar erkennbar, dass der Parkplatz ausdrücklich reserviert werden muss und separat kostet. Als Alternative gibt es ein öffentliches Parkhaus in der Nähe.

Nos hôtes étaient très sympathique et on répondu à toutes nos questions sur les restaurants, visites etc... Ce fût un réel plaisir et nous ne pouvons que recommander d'y séjourner. Endroit très bien situé près de tout. Petit déjeuner parfait avec des croissants et pain tout frais et tout chaud. On a adoré.
