OCEAN VIEW CORAL PENTHOUSE , WALK TO THE BEACH

Fantastic location and great host. Mayela was quick to respond to any issues that we had. The air conditioner wasn’t working and she had someone there the next day to fix it. The unit is being renovated so it looked different from the original listing but it was still nice. The water was either burning hot or cold and we couldn’t figure out how to control it but it could have been user error.

Mayela informed us a few days before our vacation that the property was going through a renovation. It was supposed to be done before my arrival however due to weather, it was delayed. Mayela got us into another property closer to the beach. It was very nice and clean. She also helped us get in touch with a guide who helped us with transportation and a boat tour. My family really enjoyed our vacation. It was definitely one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever been to. It was so much fun watching my 2 year old daughter having so much fun at the beach. Thank you.

The condo is very spacious and all the rooms on the side of the ocean have spectacular ocean views. Felt very safe and there’s several options for food within walking distance. Ocean water is warm and crystal clear. A few days the weather didn’t cooperate, but with the mall across the street, we did our shopping those days. There’s a trick to the hot water, hot is cold and cold is hot, once we figure that out, we had plenty of hot water for the four of us. Taxis from airport try to over charge, but it should not be more than $50USD. You can’t call an Uber to pick you up at the airport, but you can call an Uber to drop you off. We hope to be back soon.

Villas Marlin have a perfect location next to a very nice beach, a mall with a supermarket, bus stops and taxis. And about only 20' away from the airport. The Maya Museum and the Maya ruins of El Rey are only a short bus ride. Outside, I found one of the pools not to be too clean. There was even a property employee taking pictures of it to report it.. The communication with our host was excellent: she responded promptly to our messages, allowed us to check in earlier than was said originally, got us a taxi to the airport the last day, had her mother receive us on the day of our arrival. The kitchen was well equipped, and everything worked well. Our only complaint would be that the furniture was quite old, especially the closets. And the bathroom upstairs. The apartment was a bit run down. The handle in the outside door was broken, for instance. It would to would not harm to do some renovation in the apartment. Because of that, I think it is overprized. But our stay was satisfactory and enjoyable.
