The cabins are set in lush jungly gardens in the town of Baeza, halfway between Quito and Neuva Loja so very convenient if heading to Cuyabeno. It’s also just above a local walk to waterfalls and a birdwatching area where we were lucky enough to see and hear the cock of the rock. The cabins are rustic but very comfortable and we had the best shower in all of Ecuador so far here … hot and super powerful. Best of all is the lovely host Koos and the pizza restaurant where we had superb freshly made pizzas to rival anything made in Italy. We had secure off street parking for our motorcycles. Very good value for money and highly recommended.

It’s worth noting breakfast is not an option here but we found Gina’s cafe across the road and she does an excellent very good value hearty all day breakfast. Opens early too.

Accueil très chaleureux ! Chambre très correct et au calme dans un environnement arboré et fleuri. Le restaurant est également très bon, on recommande, avec une très belle vue :)

Sehr herzliche Betreuung, tolles Lokal und Essen und hervorragende Unterkunft. Man fühlte sich sofort wohl.

Nichts

The location was fine as a base , most of what I wanted was in the surrounding countryside. The attached Pizzeria has good pizza, Koos, the proprietor is friendly and informative.

lights in my cabin were dim, there was a musty smell the first night, but it disipated by the next day. There was no breakfast, and the restaurant didn't open until late afternoon
