Kozy Le Morne

Beautiful location and apartment. Ornella gave us an in depth greeting with loads of useful information about the area and kept in touch throughout our stay. Kitchen is well equipped and the bed comfortable. View is exceptional and I would highly recommend staying here.

We had a wonderful stay at Kozy Le Morne and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The location is fantastic, with a breathtaking view. The villa is beautifully designed, very clean, comfortable and well equipped, and it really feels like a peaceful home away from home. A special thank you to Ornella, who was incredibly welcoming, helpful and always available when we needed anything. Her recommendations for restaurants and activities made our stay even more enjoyable.

Location and Views - Easily accessible with public beach close by (approx 1km) and a restuarnt and some gift shops at walkable distance. Lovely sea views from the seating area and Le Morne mountain stands tall just in front of the property. The Jacuzi - Very well maintained and was the perfect place to unwind after a day of acivities. I think this is the best part of the stay. The Host - Mrs Ornello was very friendly, helpful and always responsive. She also provided some nice recommendations for restaurants and attractions.

Room was too small (so were the toilet and bath) - The room is too cramped with very little space on one side of the bed. If you have slightly bigger luggage, you simply do not have enough space to open it on the floor. We had to take the luggage to the kitchen area everytime we had to open it. On top of that, they have tried to fit in a wash basin in the bedroom since the bathroom is too small. This felt quite strange. The roof is very low and everytime I raised my hands to change, they would touch the ceiling (and I am only 5'7"). So its not suitable for taller people. It felt like too many things have been added to a space that was already small to begin with. The whole space should have been more comfortable as a bedroom, rather than trying to fit in a kitchen as well. Appliances not in good condition - The appliances are not upto the mark and needed better maintenance or replacement. The plastic in the locker's dial came out as soon as we locked our valuables, as if it had just been hanging on. Luckily we still had our necessary items for the day trip with us, so we could venture out after informing Mrs Ornello. But it could have been a completely diffrent situation otherwise. The locker should at least be of better quality. Similarly, the electric kettle had strong stains inside and did need replacement. No Water refill facility - No water refilling facility. So you have to buy water from the supermarket. With the charges per night for this stay, this is something basic I would expect. It saves from buying so many plastic bottles. ***There is no daily cleaning (it is chargeable as mentioned by the hosts) and that makes it difficult. The dustbin gets full and there is no one to at least empty it out and do basic cleaning. Overall, I did not find the property to be good value for the money.
