For anyone going to Essaouira, I would HIGHLY recommend Salut Maroc! Our family was BLOWN AWAY by just the sheer beauty of the facility, the kindness of the staff, the most elegant decor and rooms, the proximity to the City Wall, the Port, the souks, the incredible rooftop restaurant with its band and the very kind staff at both breakfast and dinner (shout out to Nabil!).... What is not to like about Salut Maroc??? From the first conversation with Rachida (manager) when we were approaching Essaouira I just got a good feeling that we would be so welcome there. She is so professional and kind and welcoming and really made us feel right at home (albeit in the most exquisite facility ever). The staff was flexible when we asked for our family to be on the same floor, they took care of small details (like a stain on my dress to recommendations for a place for my daughter to get a pedicure) to big ones like recommending a photographer for family portraits, where to eat and the best place for a hammam bath (Salut Maroc itself and the wonderful Aicha). Really, for comfort and pampering and ease to everything, you cannot go wrong with Salut Maroc! We fell in love with Essaouira and a large part had to do with where we stayed. Thank you so much to all the staff - it truly was home to us for 3 magical nights :).

Be prepared for the narrow staircase which is so pretty and colorful but it needs care to climb up and down!

Smell of cats everywhere I would have expected less cats in a luxury hotel
