Excellent 2 bedroom apartment in Lisbon

Limpo, compacto, localização razoável. Dificuldade com estacionamento.

Loved the location! It is close enough to walk to the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos, the Padrão dos Descobrimentos and all the riverfront restaurants. If you don't mind walking, it is also possible to get to Torre de Belém on foot. There are other sights nearby to, such as the Botanical Gardens and Palácio Nacional da Ajuda. The immediate area is also lovely, we really enjoyed the local restaurants and stores, and it was nice to see how locals live on the outskirts of Lisbon. We lived the Juliette balcony looking over the street below. It really is a lovely neighbourhood to explore. There are several buses and trams that depart from the next street over, and yet more that depart from the surrounding area, making getting into the main city very easy. The apartment was a good size for us. We had a room each and were able to comfortably share the communal areas without getting under each other's feet. Despite getting a warning from the owner that the shower can overflow, we had no issues during our stay. The temperature and pressure of the shower were good. The bathroom looks small, but even as two girls, we managed fine all week in the space available. The kitchen was handy to have, but be aware there is no kettle, so you have to boil water in a pan! There is a washing machine, but we didn't use it as there was no clothes horse.

The room with the double bed does not have a window, this was a bonus because it meant it was very dark which I find ideal for sleeping, but, it did mean there was a slight stale, musty smell to the room on arrival that I could not air out. There are quiet hours in place, but not all the other residents will adhere to this, I swear we had a tapdancing elephant on the floor above us, them running up the stairs shook the whole apartment. Although this is not the fault of the apartment owner, a bit of soundproofing around the door might help, or signs near the entry way reminding people when they enter that sound travels in the beautiful old building. Be warned that as it is an old building, the staircase to access the apartment is narrow, we managed to get our bags up without issue, but it could be difficult for less able people.

Uns erwartete ein kleines, gut ausgestattetes Appartement in ruhiger Lage außerhalb des Zentrums von Lissabon, jedoch in der Nähe des beliebten Stadtteils Belem. Die Unterkunft wartete mit allem auf, was einen entspannten Aufenthalt während eines Städtetrips bereiten kann, besonders hervorzuheben ist hier wohl die Anwesenheit einer Waschmaschine. Erwähnenswert ist auch die Bequemlichkeit der Betten. Bus und Straßenbahn hielten in unmittelbarer Nähe.

Die Wohnung befindet sich im ersten Obergeschoß eines altehrwürdigen Hauses, das nur über eine ziemlich enge, steile Treppe zu erreichen ist. Entsprechend mühevoll war der Aufstieg mit schwerem Gepäck. Zudem lag die Unterkunft nicht sonderlich zentral; der nächste Supermarkt ist einen knappen Kilometer entfernt und ins Zentrum sowie zum Bahnhof war man eine ganze Weile unterwegs.
