Flora

We stayed there with our 3 years old kid. The owners were very friendly, helpful and very kind to our son. It was a beautifully renovated and well equipped antique style apartment with a relaxing atmosphere. It is located in a big valley, near to the Drivenik castle (10 mins walking), its location is great as Jadranovo, Dramalj or Crikvenica can be reached within 20 mins by car. Beaches on Krk island can be reached in approx. 30 mins. In the garden there is a nice pergola with a stunning view to the hills. All in all, it was a great place to be!

The apartment could be improved by adding an additional aircon unit so more rooms can be cooled down during the periods of heat-waves. However, due to its location the outside temperature could cooled down more compared to bigger towns, which was a great advantage.

Where to begin? We were greeted as we drove through the gate by two smiley faces and a wagging dog. Over some cold drinks, chocolate and cool figs we were told everything we needed to know about the house, the garden and things going on around. It was a bit like visiting friends. The house was modern, very clean and well thought through. There was a huge CD collection in the house, so we never ran out of music. The location was great as we were far away enough to escape the overrun tourist spots, but near enough if we wanted to visit. The wonderful garden with bbq, big sheltered table and loungers was very pleasant. We couldn't have asked for better hosts. Ivan and Nada were most welcoming and provided us with jam, honey and fruit from their garden. They were a lovely couple telling us lots of intereresting facts about the area and giving us good advice on where to go and what to do- from good beaches, over walks to art exhibitions and events in the area. They are also proud owners of beautiful Flora- a very placid and friendly golden retriever. Nothing was too much trouble. When we had problems with the car Ivan was quick to arrange an appointment for us at the local garage and taking us on the day. They run Flora with a lot of passion and an eye to detail, but also try to improve things by asking your opinion. We are planning to go back at a different time of the year to get another perspective and we are looking forward to it already! Thank you for great hospitality!

Simply Ivan and Nada are the most welcoming couple i have ever seen although i have been around many places. You wake up in the morning and you find them already collected some fresh fruits from their garden for you in addition to the honey (i guess also their own) and jam they provided for us. The place is reaaaaallly big and simply beautiful. They also have a lovely dog, Flora, who is very cute and loves to play with guests. My 2.5 years old daughter wanted to stay there in that place with Flora forever. One day i woke up after a windy night and i found them have collected our shoes and clothes that have been scattered by the wind everywhere and organized them for us. There are parking spots inside the perimeter of the house so parking is no problem. Also there is a (super)market just some ten meters away from the house. Wifi is good also there. The kitchen was equipped with everything we wanted even filters for the coffee machine. They had lavender all over the place so it smelled reeaaly good. It is really quite and relaxing there with a lovely view where you can see the mountains and the greenery everywhere. They also had a big table in the garden where we used to have breakfast and sometimes dinner. Besides, they always surprised us with some gifts for our daughter, like chocolates and so on. They were always open for chats and small talks. And also don’t forget to discuss your plans with them, they can guide you to what’s worth seeing and what are the secret local spots let it be restaurants or not very well known tourist attractions, etc.

The closest beach is like 10 km away and not that good. But we used to drive like one hour and head to krk island to visit nice beaches.

FLORA is just a PERFECT kuca za odmor!!!!!!!!!!! We loved absolutely everything there!!!!!! Our hosts were sooooo friendly, helpful and lovable! We are already planning to go there again!!! <3 <3 <3
