Casa Marluí San José

Beautiful setting on a patio overlooking a beautiful garden with flowers, birds and a great view of the mountains. Highlight of the breakfast was fresh fruit. Yum. Hosts were available and helpful.

Cannot beat the amazing host/hostess family and their wonderful dog, Bingo! Beautiful home, designed by the owner, and a most excellent breakfast.

The best national park is the Garden of Marlui. Everything is great.

I stayed at Casa Marlui for one night, and it was a wonderful experience — like staying in a cozy guesthouse. The house is beautiful and full of lovely little details that make it special and charming. Don Luis and Doña Margarita were incredibly kind and attentive at all times. The house has a gorgeous garden with a view of the city, and we were even lucky enough to see a Bobo bird. The dog they have is adorable — I wanted to take him home with me! And we truly rested: sleeping there was such a peaceful, comfortable experience. They welcomed us so warmly. We are very grateful for their hospitality and for the beautiful experience we had at Casa Marlui. Highly recommended!

One thing to note is that in our room, the bathroom was just outside the bedroom — adjacent but not inside the room itself — which meant having to step out to shower or use it. Luckily, the other room wasn’t occupied, so we didn’t have to share the bathroom with anyone. I feel it would have been less comfortable if we had needed to share, and this wasn’t clearly stated in the initial description (I think).
