What a perfect spot!

We were welcomed in the warmest way onto the property, which was absolutely beautiful and such a tranquil stop on our journey. The room was perfectly clean and we had an amazing nights rest! Would recommend this place to anyone passing through Himare and we are just so grateful for this respite!

Great place, great location, amazing hospitality

The owners were really nice and hospitable. The location was ideal, just a few minutes' walk from the sandy beach in Himare and the bus stop. The room we booked was really spacious and had some mosquito nets on some of the windows, allowing us to leave them open during the night. We also had a small kitchen, in our room, where we prepared small meals, and we were able to use the shared bigger kitchen if we had to prepare something more substantial.

Lovely owners, great room!

The owners really did an effort to make us feel home. They gave us a welcome drink of home made raki. Really loved the room. Had everything you need.

Super locations and amazing hosts

Room was so spacious and had everything we needed for our short stay. Hosts were extremely friendly, given us water and offering us raki on arrival on a hot day! Gorgeous view of the mountains from the terrace and only a 5 minute walk to beach & several restaurants and bars. Would highly recommend 🙂

Everything was pretty great, only one thing about the room that we were staying on looked out onto the terrace, therefore we had to keep the curtains closed while we were there for privacy. This can’t really be helped so it wouldn’t deter me from staying there again.

The owners are such amazing people and made our stay unforgettable. They told us about the history of himara aswell as how they live now and offered a cup of coffee and raki. The writing contact was with theor daughter which gave us great tips for eating and things to visit. The room is perfect as shown on the pocture. I will definetly tell everyone i know to sleep at sunset guesthouse! Thank you for everything

Lovely hosts with beautiful guest house

The room is pretty big and the bed really comfortable! Room and bathroom were clean. You can use the beautiful terrace to start your day in the sun. Our hosts were lovely! They are super friendly and warmhearted people, always open for a little chat and happy to answer all your questions patiently. They welcomed us with coffee and ask every morning if we want some coffee (for free). You can walk to the next beach in just five minutes, where you will also find many restaurants and a supermarket on your way.

The shared kitchen needs a little fresh up to be perfectly clean again :) It’s the typical thing in shared rooms: sometimes people don’t clean their stuff properly and over the time it gets a little sticky. An additional small lamp in the room would be very helpful.

Just Perfect!

Aneti and her family are some of the most genuine and kind people you will ever meet. It was such a pleasure to get to know Aneti(who was in town for a visit) and to learn about Himare and it's history (past and present). The family are the ultimate hosts: responsive, flexible, helpful, and just a really nice people. The guesthouse itself is just perfect. Quiet, peaceful, and the balcony has a lovely view of the mountains. The room was spacious and the bed was super comfortable. The shared kitchen was really well stocked and there were even locked cabinets to store your food. Everything was spotless! A total gem of a place!

Beautiful place run by beautiful people. My standard room was cozy and had all the necessary things. Outside of the room is lovely sitting area with mountain view. I wish i had more time to spend there.

Good

The couple that run this guest house were super lovely! There was a little difficulty with communication with the language barrier but their English was much better than my Albanian (which is zero). Their daughter who runs the bookings and messaging was super helpful with translating my misunderstanding. The hosts were very welcoming and made me feel right at home. They were also so helpful in helping me to figure out how to catch the bus back to Tiranë. I have already recommended this guest house to people coming to Himare!

The hosts were fantastic. They would do anything for you. Greet you with Raki , coffee and a great chat. The locacation was really good, From the bus stop and beach it's a 5 min walk.. It's a long uphill walk on the side of the paved road to the castle ruins, but totally worth it. We r almost 70 and the walk was not hard. Our room was right off the kitchen and terrace. Nice clean room. Well equipped, clean , shared Kitchen. Our bath was small with non enclosed shower. They have a washing machine you can use. And a clothes line to hang your laundry. Very pleasant 4 day stay. Thanks for your hospitality.

The common area was right outside our room, so we couldn't open the curtain and it could get quite noisy.

My favourite guesthouse in Albania

It's more than a cozy place, Niko and his wife makes you feel at home. Just chat with them and you'll catch the real mediterranean essence. This is the kind of people you want to meet on your travels. Also, the guesthouse is close to the beach but far from the noise, perfect location. Oh, and it has many nests of swallows!
