Authentic, Rustic, Calming

Everything was great during my stay at Taman Nauli Boutique Rooms. Prior to leaving Australia I asked if they could arrange a driver to pick me up from the airport, the gentleman was ready and waiting for me and let me know exactly where to meet him. The staff at Taman Nauli were all accommodating, friendly and polite, they did not allow me to carry my suitcases to or from my room when I checked out. My room was clean and inviting, there was a mosquito net around the bed, the aircon was on so the room was cool when I arrived. I loved the rustic look and feel of the room. Reading through some of the reviews shared, I feel it is important for people to understand to the back of property are rice fields and plantation, therefore it would be natural to expect some of natures beautiful creatures to be around or come visiting. This is actually normal for tropical warm locations like Bali in general. People have mentioned their room not being cleaned, if they took the time to read the information available in the room there is a note stating the rooms are cleaned every three days, however if you would like your room cleaned or clean towels etc then just to let the staff know. I am not sure how unclean some people may be if they require their room to be cleaned everyday!!! The meals I had at the restaurant were all delicious, one evening I had attended the restaurant, however due to a headache had asked if I could take my meals to my room, the staff were more than accommodating and allowed me to go to my room to wait and then delivered the meal when ready. I only used the pool once during my stay as I was out and about exploring the area, during this time the pool was clean and I found no issues with it. I used Grab or Gojek to order a bike or car when I was coming and going, it was approximately 15 minutes depending on traffic to the heart of Canggu and approximately 25 minutes to Seminyak / Legion areas.

"Kuntilanak" bad dream while napping

I think the owner or management need to do a spiritual cleansing in room #8 next to the river. I had a really bad dream when I slept between 2-5pm where I saw "kuntilanak" in my dream. I never have a dream or a bad dream on all my staycation but this one.

Very beautiful accomodation

The bathroom, the staff was very very nice, the garden, the breakfast, all the spaces from the accomodation, the room.

I let at the property my lagguage. And because a steong rain when i came back all my lagguage were very wet. All my lagguage stayed in lobby and bacause the rain was very strong all m clothes get wet. At the airport i had a big issue, because the lagguage was heavier because of the water

A good place for someone who prefers a bit of wildness instead of sterile Western hotels

The hotel seems to have undergone renovations. It's not your typical modern hotel; instead, it's designed for those seeking a natural retreat. I particularly appreciated the walls, which are partially made of old, ornate wood. The staff is very friendly and speaks good English. There are daily cleaning services, and nearby, you'll find shops and ATMs where you can withdraw money using your Revolut card without any fees. There is also a large parking lot for scooters and cars.

Although the room is situated away from the street, you can still hear the sound of passing traffic. Breakfast is included but is only available from 8 to 10 AM. The bed linens and towels appeared quite old and yellowed. Everything felt slippery, which is common in Bali. The only issue I encountered was with the orange stairs, which become extremely slippery when it rains. I slipped on them and accidentally broke the tags on my wooden room key. As a result, I was charged an additional 100,000 IDR. The stairs definitely need improvement to prevent slippery conditions, and the tags on the keys should be replaced with more durable ones instead of the round, brittle wooden tags that barely fit in your pocket.

It's a very unique place in the center of busy changgu. The outdoor shower with the smell of pandan wad great.

Not a good stay

Large parking for scooters

The room was extremely dirty: tons of dust in the corners, bedsheets with stains, blinds with holes and dust hanging in them, and we even found a pair of leftover underwear under our bed (and no, it was not in an inaccessible place). Furthermore the breakfast quality was mediocre at best, and the staff took ages to get a simple salad ready. Lastly, there was an annoying flashing light coming from a crack in the wall the entire night, which made it quite difficult to sleep.

Nice boutique hotel, amazing location, room sizes and prices! recommended!

The place is beautiful, very Bali styled hotel, somehow tucked in the middle of a very busy road. The rooms are large, spacious and there are some activities that can be scheduled there like Yoga. It is also quite close to a nice super market so you can buy some stuff with ease.

The mosquito "nets" on the beds. They are not really nets but more like thin fabric, which look great but they seem to absorb humidity and their smell is quite strong. having a little sofa or something similar would also be nice for such large rooms, especially for when traveling with the family.

Great value for boutique rooms. Staff were very friendly but manager never around to assist.

The Rooms are simply amazing, beautifully decorated. Definitely the best in the property. Lobby areas and restaurants requires some revamping. At first when we see the Lobby we believe that the rooms will not reflect the photos. Only bad thing in Rooms is no mini bar and not good sound / overall isolation .. despite the dense vegetation around we could hear the traffic from main road - and too many mosquitos inside the room.

There was never a manager on ground to assist. All requests I had to do via Booking. I did not like the location- due to heavy traffic around.

Very nice family buisness

Accommodation was very nice and thanks to this family buisness u can feel the traditional baliness culture a lot. Everyone was very nice and helpful with everything u need. After your arrival to the accommodation u will get an welcome drink whitch is reqly nice after travelling. Also the breakfast and all the food options in restaurant were realy delicious.

After arriving from the long flight I thought the place will be more quite but the true is that the accommodation is right by the mane road and u can hear cars and scooters almost 24/7. I ve got rooms facing the street thats why maybe my place was more noisy than rooms facing the feald. For me personaly it was noisy accommodation stay but for someone who like to be close to Canggu busy center and close to everything can be ok..

Glorious relaxing bolt hole in the middle of busy Changgyu

It was lovely !! Large room with a gorgeous outside bathroom . Restaurant open from 7am til 10 pm serving cheap and tasty meals including a free breakfast . Pool on site . Staff were so friendly and helpful

Beautiful grounds but bad location

It has a very authentic feel. There is a pepitos next door, with a bakery that does very affordable meals. They have nice bathrobes

No early check in or a change to leave the luggage while the room was ready. The first room I was given was extremely dirty, towels, Pillows and linen was very dirty, the room had a bed upstairs and the aircon would not reach that area, so it was impossibly hot. The room was swarming with flies. The location is not close to any tourist attractions, rather a local industrial area. There was not even a mini fridge in the room. No hot water. The water provided for the room from their water dispecer was hotter than the shower water. It would have been great to have a fridge to at least have some cold water. The pool is in a private property next door. I tried to cancel my booking, I was ready to go somewhere else straight after checking in, I contacted the property with no response.

They have a nice cat and the hotel staff are friendly and helpful.

Its very dark. The bathroom has no back wall, it leads to the forestation, there is no privacy there. There was a rat in my room that would come in through the air conditioner vents and eat my food. There were strange sounds in the night (from the rats?)

Lovely place to stay in Canggu

It was a very special accommodation. We absolutely loved it especially the big bed and the bathroom. We would definitely recommend this as a visit. The whole place is super magical with Balinese atmosphere.

Ergonomically not convenient - no wardrobe, fridge, kettle. Moreover, wi-fi was not working good, as well as several days in a row there were outages of electricity and water. The location is on a pretty busy road
