Cabanas Green Apartment Ria Formosa

Nicely decorated apartment with plenty of storage space. It wasn’t the apartment in the photo, so the outlook was different but the Ria Formosa was to the left when sitting on the balconyOur apartment had a higher balcony than the one pictured. There was constant hot water, a dim 5 foot bed and plenty of towels. We didn’t self cater, but it looked like everything was there that you might need.

It is a little tired in places, but just a little diy needed, nothing major. For me the bed was a little firm, but that’s just personal preference, you cannot please everyone!

* Good communication with host regarding key collection & some flexibility with times given as requested * Quiet apartment with exquisite balcony view * Access to Golden Clube facilities including boat shuttle to beach * Well located for all restaurants and shops of Cabanas

Limited surfaces and sockets for Kitchen appliances ( toaster, microwave, kettle) . We used the large shelf for this but if children were around this would not be safe or suitable

Initially the apartment looked very good - for a studio it was very spacious and well decorated. It had a balcony with comfortable chairs and a washing machine with an airer to dry clothes. However, we soon noticed the arms of the sofa were badly stained and one of the windows in the kitchen area was cracked across.

When I took a shower the entire shower fixture came away from the wall. We reported it to the owner who sent a cleaner to check it out. She confirmed it was broken and said she’d talk to the owner about getting it repaired. That was the last we heard of it in the 4 nights we were there. The next day the internet went off completely- it’s only when you haven’t got internet you realise how much you use it. Again we got in touch with the owner who said the router was in the flat above ours and no one was home at the time. After about 5 hours we got in touch again and the owner suggested turning the power off to both apartments and restarting it. This proved successful, just wish he’d suggested it in the first place!
