Cherry Plum Cottages

The charm of the cottage and the beautiful garden and peaceful rural surrounds overlooking paddocks with alpacas grazing whilst still being a short 5 minute drive into Port Fairy. The cottage was spotlessly clean and the cooking facilities were good.

The bed and the couch were just a little bit uncomfortable. We stayed for 2 nights and spent our nights in the cottage so quite a bit of time in the living area which could probably more time than could be typical. As we also like to watch TV in bed, this was a bit inhibited as the TV was not visible from one side of the bed (right side).

Everything. It was beautiful. Very historic and beautifully appointed. Bread, milk, jam, honey, vegemite and bottled water all available. Biscuits and chocolate left for us too. Warm. Heaters in all rooms and electric blankets on beds!! A real treat. Very serene. Very close to town but in a farm environment. Garden was gorgeous too.

Great retreat for a fabulous few days in Port Fairy. Marvelous host. Great environment. Warm and cosy on a cool day. 20 min walk into town.

Love the quaintness and the private garden at the back where we sat and had our cuppas. The host's lovely little treats and a big bottle of water left for us were so thoughtful. The facilities were good with well thought out provision of what was needed for a comfortable stay. Bed was comfortable and good selection of teas, hot chocolate and ground coffee. It was a lovely cosy, quiet and clean little cottage which we really enjoyed. 5 mins drive to town so location-wise it was great.

The TV remote control was quite unresponsive and made it a tad difficult to control volume and changing channels. But that was really a minor thing!
