The property itself is well thought out, clean and the terrace is a nice addition.
The check-in process wasn't disclosed at any point. I am fairly sure this property is listed as a private host, but it is actually owned by a hotel. At no point we're we told that the keys to the property were held in the next village. The hotel did not respond to email to inform us of the check-in process. We phoned them twice and waited 40 mins for someone to arrive at the property to let us in, only then by asking what the logo on his t-shirt was did we learn who our host was a hotel. Checkout was equally badly handled. Note that this is fairly typical of our experience with hosts in Italy.
