Stayed here for a short cycling holiday, the B&B is a perfect base camp to start from if you want to explore multiple beautiful climbs in the area. The house is in a peaceful location and has a beatiful view, clean rooms, good breakfast, bikes are safe in the garage and above all: Guillaume is a very welcoming host. We enjoyed our stay!

Just what I was looking for

Solid continental breakfast with good coffee. The views are exceptional which made it a good but short stay. Room clean, shared facilities with other guests but great shower/washroom. Host cheeful and ready to advise on local eatery as well as knowledge of local skiing options (from Bourg St Maurice up to Les Arcs). I skied in Val D'Isere / Tignes....35min from car park to accommodation.

Car parking is tight...be prepared to park a little further (couple 100m) from property. Steps up to property steep wooden stairs...lugging heavy bags not advised...but once up into the property, fabulous vista and clean modern accommodation. Ideal after a long day skiing.

Wonderful location right in front of the mountain, fresh in summer and really quiet during the night. The house is really cool, the room I had was large and clean as well as the toilette. Guillaume is very available and friendly and make you feel like at home.

Kio was Amazing Host View Fantastic as in photo For us loved being out of the town 8 kilometres Great for hiking cycling skiing Continental Breakfast was delicious would be perfect if eggs where offered But you need a car

The mattress was to firm for us Would be perfect if offered a mattress topper for people who like softer mattress and better pillows But can not please everyone

A beautiful true mountain chalet experience. The place is well equipped, nicely decorated and the host was a very helpful person. The location is awesome, and the view from the common room is breathtaking.

The bedroom we stayed in was a bit small, but we didn't stay in for a long time, so it wasn't an issue.

It feels like coming home

Doing a motorbike trip from Germany to Nice and did a last minute booking La Case à Kio. Arriving at the destination - breathtaking view of the mountains. La Case a Kio is not a hotel, more a home Guillaume - the host - shares. Tasteful and nicely decorated house and guest room. Well equipped. Seeing several hotels and rooms during my trip thru the French Alps, La Case à Kio is the only one I will not forget. Thank u to host Guillaume for the peasant stay (and thank u from my bike staying in the warm garage during nite and starting smoothly for the next cold morning ride).

The right place at the right time!

After we arrived in the nearby town Bourg-Saint-Maurice because my wife needed medical attention in the hospital, it became clear we weren't going to be able to continue our motorcycle trip. I booked a room at La Case à Kio because it was only 15 minutes away from the hospital, not knowing we were about to arrive at a B&B on the top of mountain, with the most amazing view you can imagine. We were warmly welcomed by Guillaume, who immediately made sure my wife could fully relex and rest, while offering me to stall my motorcycle in his garage. Because of the situation, we weren't able to go out for dinner nor had I forseen anything myself. Guillaume kindly offered us to join him for dinner. From the balcony we enjoyed watching thé biggest thunderstorm I've ever witnessed that night. The morning after Guillaume prepared breakfast, which included about everything you could wish for. We ended up staying yet another night, sharing dinner again, before returning home the next day. We will definitely be returning to enjoy this beautiful B&B under a better set of circumstances.

The host was amazing, an overly accommodated for the language barrier. He advised of of multiple places to go snowboarding, skiing and sightseeing. The best host I've had.

Nice views, but a sigh of relief to leave.

Now we had such high expectations of staying here, our first real stop in Switzerland, and maybe we had to high a idea of what to expect. In the end we breathed a sigh of relief to leave

Why did we struggle so much?.... It was the simple fact that you were in someone's home, and WE both felt like we were walking on eggshells around someone else's home.. scared to make a mess or leave something out of place...not wanting to settle and just chill out inside the house, and as I felt like I had broken a house rule of having my shoes on inside the house, which which the artificial leg is a nightmare to remove the one shoe, and if I had, the sock on the polished floor would have been a hell of a risk of slipping over, this combined with sharing 1 toilet with another couple made things even worse for me, as to get fully dressed and leg on just for a midnight loo stop, and again trying to creep about so not to wake anyone. The whole thing was not a comfortable feeling, stunning views maybe so and a great garage to put the trike in,,,, BUT.... and it is a BIG BUT.... mabe is a group of mates or girls together it might have been better. But not a place I would rush back to stay at. Sorry but that's my opinion and Lorraine's

Ein schöner Aufenthalt für kleines Geld als Gast und Mitbewohner in einem Privathaushalt

Die Unterkunft liegt in wunderschöner Umgebung und ist gepflegt. Im günstigen Preis ist ein gutes "petit dejeuner" enthalten. Die sehr ruhige Lage erlaubt ein Schlafen bei offenem Fenster. Mein Motorrad stand in einer abgeschlossenen Garage.

Man muß sich auf das Konzept einlassen, nicht unabhängiger Hotelgast zu sein, sondern ein Besucher in einem Privathaushalt, dessen Hausherr die Befolgung einiger (akzeptabler) Regeln verlangt. Man teilt Bad, Klo und Küche mit dem Hausherrn. Man muß bereit sein, immer alles tiptop aufzuräumen, die Dusche nach Gebrauch zu "flitschen" und nichts herumliegen zu lassen. Wenn man dieses Konzept nicht mag, sollte man ein anderes Quartier wählen. Das Quartier ist hellhörig. Die Gäste in den beiden anderen Zimmern nimmt man wahr.

Emplacement superbe et très bon accueil

Vue exceptionnelle sur la montagne. L'intérieur en bois du chalet est magnifique et très joliment décoré. Il dispose d'une salle de bain commune très bien équipée. des ejux de société sont à disposition en cas de mauvais temps et notre hote Guillaume est toujours prèts à vous renseigner pour des activités dans les environs. Le garage est facilement accessible pour toutes les motos.

Tout était parfait et parfaitement conforme à la description de notre hote. Aucune mauvaise surprise. Tout est précisé dans les échanges précédents la(les) nuité(s)

Izjemna lokacija ekstremen razgled, vendar za naju, ki sav bila tu samo zaradi Toura, mala manj zanimiva. Za oddih in popotništvo toplo priporočam. Urejenost, čistoča in ustrežljivost pa so na najvišji možni točki. Z eno besedo vrhunsko.

Dostop je malo (močno) v hribu, vendar vsa nadaljna usluga to odtehta.

Die Unterkunft ist auf und in einer Traumhaft schönen Lage. Wir hatten eine Garage für Motorräder. Die Zimmer waren komfortabel ausgestattet. Das Haus wurde mit sehr viel Liebe und Sachverstand gebaut.

Eine sehr schöne Unterkunft mit einem tollen Gastgeber!! Unfassbares Panorama vom Balkon und der Küche auf die Alpen. Unkomplizierter und extrem freundlicher Gastgeber. Alles perfekt. Nur per Fahrrad schwierig erreichbar (400hm über Bourg St. Maurice).
