Excellent and welcoming homely hotel

The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was excellent. The proprietors have taken over a traditional hotel and revitalised it. It is in a good location for visiting Kaysersberg which we did the following morning.

It is not a modern business hotel so the steps up to the rooms are steep and I didn’t see a disabled access. It is a traditional Alsace house with all the quirks you would expect from a pretty old building.

Exceptional

The staff was extremely nice. The room was definitely worth the price, and it was such a cute room. If you like mountain cabin themed rooms, this is a great place for that. It's not too far from the "Lac Blanc" and it's situated in a very calm area. We had breakfast at the accommodation, and everything was organic and/or homemade, which made it even more delicious. I'm definitely coming back!

Great value hotel with an excellent restaurant

The restaurant was excellent, the wine menu was impressive! The rooms were basic but were what we needed. The owners (husband and wife) took this hôtel-restaurant over during the pandemic and put a lot of effort in renovating it and in running it.

Tip for the neurodivergent community: Mr mostly speaks using sarcasm and irony which we are unable to understand (due to autism) despite speaking French natively too.

Staff were very friendly upon arrival The room was more than enough for us and family of 5 including a baby at 10 months They provided us with a cot,fridge and microwave We had our own private bathroom with towels,soap and shower/hair gel We came down in the morning the manager came and seen us out and wished us well and was very friendly with our family Will defo be stopping here again and would recommend to all Price will not be beaten It was perfect on our way back up From Switzerland and a lovely bed and shower for the night We also had lovely views of the thunder storms and rain over the hills which we all Loved

PERFECT!

Very friendly and welcoming staff! We highly recommend eating in the restaurant that belongs to the hotel. EXCELLENT cuisine with locally produced food and wines. Everything was perfectly clean and we could not think of anything that was missing. The area around the hotel is very beautiful and just perfect for those who like hiking in the mountains & forests or other outdoor activities! Merci beaucoup! We will definitely come back!

Cet établissement a du charme. La personne qui nous a réceptionné est très accueillante et nous a bien conseillé au niveau des activités à faire aux alentours. Le petit déjeuner était complet avec divers choix. Je recommande.

l'accueil très sympathique et chaleureux.

venu en hivers chambre 9, pas de VMC, chambre humide avec ruissellement sur les fenêtres, sanitaires minuscules sans chauffage donc un véritable frigo. literie fatiguée. La gérante nous assure que la chambre va être rénovée..... espérons vu le prix demandé de 95 € !! Petit déjeuner correct, également cher à 12 € ( rappelons que c'est le pays du Kougloff et non du pain au chocolat !!).

L'hôtel en lui-même est bien situer pour aller visiter Colmar,riquewir etc.....

Nous n'avons pas apprécié la chambre, pas propre du tout. Et quand nous avons été trouver l'hôte , elle nous a répondu qu'elle ne savait rien faire a cela . Douche sale, humidité partout, tapis plein poussiéreux et alors le parfum mit dans la prise dans le couloir qui sent très mauvais. Pour la douche ,il ne fait pas être trop costaud sinon on ne rentre pas dedans.

Sans le problème de la douche, ç’aurait été bien.

La chambre était spacieuse et le lit confortable. Dans l’ensemble, ça semblait propre.

Le point majeur, c’était le problème de drain dans la douche qui a causé un débordement que nous avons dû essuyer à la hâte avec les serviettes. Par conséquent, une seule personne a pu prendre une douche. Un très mauvais réveil!
