We have stayed at Le Phare several tines and have always been happy with the service. The location is ideal for catching the early ferry.
Everything was very good.

Breakfast. good, service pleasant
Unfriendly reception. Room adequate. Bathroom, definitely inferior. Dangerous, slippery floors and shower. No shower mat, no floor mat. Hot water took forever to run hot.
The restaurant and bar were closed. I was not made aware of this when i booked. Had I known, I would not have booked.

Its close to the ferry
The room was ok for our needs, but a bit small, and the decor a bit tired.

Some of the staff were just miserable and never smiled once. The lady who served in the morning was however very friendly.
The room had an annoying rattle noise from outside the window as if something was blowing around and the noise from the staff after they closed went on a bit

Wanted dinner one evening but wasn't warned it was closing early due to a private party.

Great place to stay ahead of our ferry crossing. Staff friendly & helpful. Very good meal in the restaurant, excellent service. Room ok, and just for one night, adequate for what we needed.
Would definitely stay again.
Room a bit tired looking. Could've been cleaner.

Always a pleasure to stay here. Stay multiple times a year. On my return trip home this time I was unwell and was lucky that I was able to check in early. Food in the restaurant was lovely but the portions were too big for us. Perfect hotel for early morning/late night ferries. People moaning about little things are forgetting that this is a budget hotel and it’s not 5star establishment.

Location to ferry terminal
Very tired and old - beige bathrooms - really!!! Lighting board over the bed meant you banged your head and could not sit up in bed. Room was tiny. No bar available upon recption

Breakfast was from 7-10 am, not many choices but was okay. For the price of 19.80 euros for two people could've had more warm food choices.

Good welcome. Good restaurant. Good food. Good service. Clean and comfortable room. Free parking in front of hotel. Very close to the Brittany Ferries carferry port. Exactly what we required at a reasonable price. We will return
Nothing to dislike.

We brought our dog and he was made welcome. The foos was lovely and in generous proportions. This is a great place to stay if you are catching an early morning ferry. It's literaly a three minute journey from hotel to port.
No problems.

Tired bedroom.

It’s very close to the ferry ports for the early morning boat to Portsmouth. Staff are very friendly and the hotel restaurant was value for money.
Could do with some modernisation, I know they are slowly working through all the rooms.

Staff welcome, the restaurant, the location & superb value.
Given the good value difficult to criticise. A walk in shower would have made this perfect for me

Proximaty to the ferry
Paying for that convenience not much else
8.0 / 10.0
Perfect overnight stop for ferry, yards from the terminal
Shower was too high for me to step into. (Restricted mobility) and no lift but manageable stairs.
5.0 / 10.0
All of the staff were great bar none.
Location was fantastic (1 min drive to ferry port if that)
Food in the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced.
Service in restaurant was very good.
No tea/coffee making facilities in room.
Faulty light that kept flickering.
Bathroom pipework could use a clean.
Shower head was not fixed to wall so had to hold it to shower but water pressure and temperature was very good.
Very expensive for the size of room and lack of amenities.

Have a disability and was put on third floor - no elevator, rooms dirty with stained carpets , beds so uncomfortable and covers not much use having as my cats bedding is thicker!

We made a late booking and paid more than we expected as we had used Le Phare previously - but - our beautiful room on the corner of the building with views on two sides exceeded expectations. A lovely end to our holiday in France. We have visited France regularly since 1959 with our caravan and only ever passed through Ouistreham but now we have discovered how beautiful that area is and no longer tow a caravan so hopefully will spend more time there before heading to our friends further south. Le Phare is ideally placed us. Thanks

We were given a warm welcome and were able to park at the front of the hotel. Ideal location for ferry.
The room was very dated and in need of refurbishment. The bathroom was very small with old fittings. The sink plug was jammed so couldn’t be emptied and reused. We notified the staff but it wasn’t repaired so couldn’t use it.

Great location near the port, good room/bathroom, helpful & friendly staff, good restaurant/bar & easy parking
Some lights in room weren't working

The property was in the middle of the town and close to the ferry terminal. The staff were pleasant and helpful.
It’s a shame there was no lift and all bedrooms are upstairs. However the stairs are not to steep if you have light luggage.

Convenient location for criss Channel ferry. Adequate accomodation.
Bar closed at 10.30p.m. just as we arrived off the ferry so had to take our drinks to our room.

Very close to ferry which is why we picked it. Nice views over terrace where we ate. Comfy bed
Small bathroom & under the eaves up two flights of stairs.
One waiter very abrupt & rude. We laughed though as it was so ‘Fawlty Towers!’

Location near to the port. Accommodation is comfortable enough.
The staff attitude was poor from start to finish. We accept staff were busy and stressed but , except for one young lady later in the evening, they made us feel like having guests there was too much trouble. One of our small group waited so long for a drink that he gave up and left. They charge to store cycles, 5 Euros each which they put in part of the restaurant at 10 pm. Having paid for this, at the appointed time they said they were too busy and we would have to wait longer. When we asked for a refund and said we would lock them up outside they changed their mind. No other hotel we stayed in all week charged for cycles.
Finally, though rooms were adequate, they were not exceptional and there was no hot water in our room. There was also no main light and only one bedside light working.

It is convenient , has a car park area, close to the ferry, has good food and is very comfortable.
Can't think of anything.

Good location. Nice food.
Small rooms. No plug in the sink. Staff not very helpful or accommodating. Secure bike storage not available until cafe closes at about 10pm.

Great location lovely meal
Room very small, travelling with dog and hardly room for her to lie down. Very expensive for what offered not even tea and coffee in room

It is casual and comfortable. Dinner was excellent, breakfast just the basics. Location next to ferry terminal is great and it is easy to go from hotel to nice walks in any direction.
Rooms are tiny, no lifts, multiple doors to open and close down the corridors, breakfast not great.

Absolutely spot on for the ferry . Excellent early open boulangerie just 3 mins in town centre
Not sure about the Resto, we ate across the the road.
