Not the most welcoming street in Toulouse but safe.

Location was great

A bit grubby and bed and bedding was uncomfortable. Kettle didn’t work. Shower went cold after 10 mins meaning my daughter had to have a cold shower after me.

The location was perfect for my visit to participate at a conference at the Centre de Congrès Pierre Baudis and to visit sites in the city centre. However, I found it difficult to find the hotel, as the Google maps location is wrong for the name of the hotel. I found it when I checked the address, but then found a closed door and telephone number, which when I called, I was told to come to a hotel several minutes walk away, to pick up the key. The room had very good air conditioning, which with the heatwave, was essential and very welcome. The kitchenette is useful, with a microwave, hob, kettle and sink. Two large and two small plates, as well as three large bowls are provided, as well as one cup and one glass. But there was no large spoon. Only a teaspoon, which made eating breakfast cereal a bit difficult.

The room has a problem with ants. Which could be found throughout. (Reported it to the hotel and they say they will check it out). The door was difficult to close and although instructed to hold the handle down, this did not always work and a couple of times, i discovered that I hadn't closed it properly. The door of the cupboard under the hob where the fridge is kept is sagging and should be fixed. The dustbin is very small for more than a day's stay. The bathroom is adequate except the shower door makes it quite tight to go into the shower cubicle. I am not fat, but it was a tight squeeze. I dread to think how a person who is a bit fat would manage!! I booked first for 5 days, then extended my booking by one day earlier and then finally an extra day at thd end. When I arrived, I explained that I had done this and that I would leave on Sunday. I was told that I had to pay the daily tourist tax and paid what I thought was the full amount. On the Saturday, I received a call to inform me that I hadn't paid the tax on my last day (despite my telling them that I would be there until Sunday) and that my card was blocked and I needed to return to the hotel to pay and get the card unblocked. I was fue to stay at the conference until late, but had to return early so as not to have to go there late at night in order to get to the room i had already paid for. When I made the point that hey had made the mistake, which had caused me inconvenience, they were not very sympathetic (a bit rude). It's a shame, as I have everyone in Toulouse so very kind and helpful.
