Our room was on the back of the park maintenance storage. In the morning the chain and gates opening was very loud, with lots of banging. It was after 8.30am but we were still in our rooms trying to relax and it was disruptive, unfortunately

Clean and tidy basic accommodation in great location by beach.

Great location on the beach. Cabin was handy to beach and shop. Fan in room very good in hot weather. Shop had all basic supplies and barrister coffee & food truck was added bonus. Friendly staff and good communication.

Cabin needed some minor repairs - no door/curtain on the shower and a window snib was broken. The kitchenette was lacking in serving/cooking bowls - no stove and no suitable bowls for use in microwave. Electric frypan was useful but hard using one appliance to cook a meal. Even a pot to use in the camp kitchen would be useful in lieu of hobs.

Enjoyable stay overall

First time staying here and it was pretty good overall. Kids really enjoyed themselves and liked the jumping pillow, giant chess board, go karts and nearby beach. Heaps of other kids for them to play with too, very family friendly place. The ladies in the office were very friendly and helpful.

Our family room was small which was expected but would have loved a broom or something to try and keep it somewhat clean. The tv never worked the whole time (not that we are there for that but just to have as an option). A bummer having to pay for a hot shower and wifi, but it is what it is.

Beautiful, relaxing stay and always worth going off peak.

This is about our 5th visit and the chalet is always spotlessly clean and well presented when we arrive. Jodi is friendly and welcoming as are all the staff.

Chalet could do with an outside shade or umbrella. It would be nice if WiFi was included in the price. We paid $40 and it lasted 3 days but we did put our phones on airplane mode most of the time.

Amazing location by the beach! Our place had everything we needed for our stay. Would definitely stay again.

The sofa bed's mattress was extremely uncomfortable for my son with no real padding over the springs. We ended up stacking sofa cushions on top so it was okay for him to sleep on. This mattress could do with being replaced.

Wonderful place for a cheap and cheerful family holiday.

The beach and estuary here is beautiful! The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. They have good amenities for people to use (bathroom and kitchen blocks) and the kids loved the bouncy pillow as well. We only stayed for one night, but will definitely be going back to spend more time there.

I would maybe only comment that the bathroom block could be a bit cleaner (cobwebs in the rafters and around the top of the shower block). Other than that, everything was great.

Close to the ocean, family friendly. Was nice having other children there to paly with. Loved the chess out door board.

Weren't told their was no hotplates in cabin 25, and no pots in the community kitchen, the jumping pillow was not working and didn't know the paddle cart were broken. Was disappointing for our grand sons.

nice quiet park, clean nice beach but very stressed arrival with the unknown

the site showed a seaview fully self contained cabin when you click on it, jumps to a much smaller basic cabin site did not explain that there is no equipment to cook with nice clean kitchen but no pots ,plates etc , there are no shops nearby to buy food lucky we had some with us. the site should explain the remoteness a little more.

Jodi was excellent on the phone securing a cabin for our sleeping configuration. The number plate recognition gate worked well and gave a sense of security. Grounds and all areas we went to were spotless. Wifi purchase was easy. Surroundings were beautiful....perfect for a beach wedding! Bird life amazing. Sunsets epic.

Internet was chargeable, TV channel and its services always take ages to load. Need some cleaning in Room spider webs everywhere like table lamp, kitchen cooktop and sink area, wall lights, drawers and cutlery was not clean. Seems like the guest before us used the cutlery and cleaners didn’t check and clean.

Lovely, peaceful beach.

Receptionist not very welcoming, lacking warmth. 2hrs or tree surgery close to my unit when I arrived, I left Auckland to get away from the noise. Noisy family nextdoor, yet Empty unit on otherwise of me, why was I not allocated that unit.
