Providenca Apartments

The apartment has a good location — the beach is about 500 metres away, around a 4-minute walk. The route to the sea is comfortable, without steep climbs, and pleasant to walk. The apartment itself is spacious and well equipped. The kitchen has everything needed for a comfortable stay: dishes, appliances and various useful items. The apartment was clean. We especially liked the large and beautiful bathroom. The bedrooms are spacious, with clean bedding in a beautiful vintage style with lace details. There are air conditioners in every room. We also appreciated the fact that the bathroom had various useful items available, such as shampoo, shower gel and other small essentials that make the stay more comfortable. Considering the price, the apartment offers a very good value for money

The first important issue is the air conditioner in the room with the balcony. When it is turned on, there is a smell of wet towels that remains slightly even while the air conditioner is running. It may be worth checking the air conditioning system for possible mould. The second major downside is the parking. Although it was stated during booking that the parking was around 100 metres from the house, we measured it ourselves and it was actually about 400 metres away. The parking area is located uphill, and the final part of the way to it is very steep — approximately a 45-degree incline. Going up and down with luggage is quite difficult, especially after the beach or with heavy bags. It is also very inconvenient to drive directly to the house for loading and unloading luggage. We asked in advance for the exact parking location, but we did not receive it, so upon arrival we had to leave the car somewhere else, check in first, and then return to move the car to the parking area. The check-out process was similarly inconvenient: we had to walk to the car with our luggage. The parking area feels quite isolated, and the car is left without any supervision. The third issue is the smell around the house. We were not able to open the windows or use the balcony even once: fish was being cooked nearby constantly, and almost all day (except at night) there was a strong smell of fried fish, similar to the smell coming from a restaurant kitchen. For people who are sensitive to smells, this can be a significant disadvantage. Also, due to the location in the old part of Baška Voda, with narrow streets and little air movement, there are sometimes smells of food being prepared in nearby kitchens during hot weather. The air can feel heavy and stagnant. When choosing the apartment, we also paid attention to the stated size of 130 m². However, in our opinion, the apartment feels smaller — more like around 90–100 m². This may be an important detail for some guests.

Very nice apartment. Central, a stonethrow from harbour and beach but still secluded from the vibrant touristy activities. Hostess was nice, welcoming and serviceminded. Tip top stay for all four days in Baska Voda.

This apartment is really worth the money you pay for it. Very centrally located! A 3-minute walk from the Nikolina Beach. It is spacious with a very convenient floor plan. Everything is brand new and in perfect condition: hot water round the clock from the internal boiler, washer, dishwasher, oven and full size gas cooker - everything you may need to stay, rest and take care of your daily needs. Kitchen utensils and cutlery, cups, glasses, plates and bowls - all in abundance. The big 2-section fridge and freezer was also a big plus. The balcony has a modern coffee table and four comfortable armchairs, and, what is even more important - many clothlines and an additional rack to dry your clothes. The aircondioner in every room is low-noise and very efficient. The hostess, her mother and aunt responded within a few minutes to any question asked. Thank you very much, Silvija and family! Special thanks for the free parking. It was within a short walk from the house, the parking lot was also spacious and safe. No rubbing fenders with other cars:)
