S18 Bali Villas

Was very nice and clean, was about a 20 min walk to Legian. Staff were lovely.

I thought it might have a bigger kitchen in case you didn’t want to eat out all the time. Fridge was tiny and no bowls or cups or anything which was a struggle.

Our stay at the villa was absolutely wonderful! The place was spotless on arrival, and the check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. Great breakfast. The interior is beautifully decorated, with spacious rooms and a cozy ambiance. We especially loved the private pool. The host was incredibly friendly and quick to respond to any questions. It truly felt like a home away from home. Highly recommended for couples or families looking for a peaceful and luxurious getaway

Why I Liked My Stay at S18 Bali Villas 1. Spacious Private Villa I really liked that it was a private villa — the layout offered privacy and a sense of relaxation. The rooms were also nicely sized, giving us plenty of space to move around and feel comfortable. 2. Friendly and Kind Staff The staff were consistently kind and welcoming throughout our stay. Their polite and helpful attitude definitely stood out and made parts of our experience more enjoyable.

Unfortunately, my experience at S18 Bali Villas fell short of expectations, and I would not recommend it based on the following concerns: 1. Lack of Cleanliness Upon arrival, it was evident that the villa had not been thoroughly cleaned. I wiped the floor myself and was shocked to see the tissue come up brown — a clear sign the floors had not been properly mopped. The rug in the room also looked heavily used and neglected, as if it hadn’t been deep cleaned in a long time. 2. Unsanitary Conditions Beneath the sink bassinet, there was a visible buildup of dust and — to my disgust — a dead cockroach. This was particularly disturbing considering the room had supposedly just been cleaned prior to our check-in. It raised serious concerns about the hygiene standards maintained by housekeeping. 3. Foul Odor from Shower Area Every time we turned on the shower, an unpleasant smell would emerge. It smelled like something coming from the drains, possibly indicating they hadn’t been properly cleaned or maintained. It made the entire bathroom experience very uncomfortable. 4. Mold on Shower Heads The shower heads themselves were in poor condition, with visible mold buildup around the nozzles where the water comes out. This is not only off-putting but also poses a health risk, especially in a humid environment like Bali where mold can spread easily if not properly addressed. 5. Poor Bathroom Design and Drainage The layout of the shower area caused water to flood the entire bathroom every time we used it. The lack of proper separation or sufficient drainage meant that we constantly had to deal with wet floors — which is both inconvenient and dangerous. 6. Disappointing Breakfast Experience On one of the mornings, we waited over an hour for breakfast, only for it to arrive cold. Despite pancakes being listed on the menu, they were not available, with no prior notice or explanation given. This lack of attention to detail and guest satisfaction was disappointing. 7.

The bedroom was great. The bathroom was very well appointed

The pool was old, missing tiles and was low on water. The pool was also not cleaned during our 4 night stay and the water level was below the skimmer box. The breakfasts were always cold. The room service changed their operating hours as they saw fit. It was advertised they open at 11. Most days they didn’t open till after midday.

The location was far from everything. The villa does provide a driver one way to get you where you want to go locally. Our villa had not very good air conditioning.

Was very hospitable and nice facility. They also helped coordinate a birthday pool decoration upon our arrival.

The mosquitos are bad ! But that’s more to the structure of the room and the weather/ season

The villa was large and we all had our own space. Breakfast was served in the room each morning.

The shower walls were a little dirty and no milk was served with coffee.

Wonderful villas with amazing private pool and outdoor area. Architecture is beautiful and facilities are lovely especially for couples or a group wanting their own space. Though location isn’t close to beach, you wouldn’t necessarily need to leave villa since room service can be provided an you have a pool and lovely room and bathroom. There are a lot of mosquitoes but daily they bring mosquito coils and spray the rooms to help get rid of the mosquitoes which did help. The first villa we were brought to smelled like cigarette smoke and we asked to move and they accommodated (they originally said it was due to mosquitoes coils but when we had mosquito coils lit at our new place the smell was certainly different). Overall a great place but felt a bit pricey for what we ended up experiencing.

Not the best location but easy taxi / car ride too beach or dining. Communication was challenging with staff members. They were kind / friendly but didn’t seem to understand English well and misunderstood a lot of requests or miscommunicated. A few examples: we were told breakfast was included for us at check in but the next morning we were told it is not so we had to taxi somewhere for food. Then we wanted to use the pool in the morning but it got very dirty and the fountain wasn’t on (even though we heard it on in other villas) and we were told it isn’t turned on until 10am (they did come to net the pool and clean it but still lots of little mosquitoes/bugs in pool). Lastly, our water was turned off or stopped working late morning so we couldn’t use the toilet, sinks or shower before checking out which was a bummer and the staff didn’t seem to understand this issue. Hopefully it all got fixed in the end!

If there was anything to complain about it would be that the air con could have been stronger but the style of the room with the vaulted roof was more likely the challenge

There was unfortunately construction next door that was noisy and loud all day everyday, it was disappointing because we booked this villa specifically with the idea of spending most of our time there to relax. The food was nice, breakfast options are good but it always arrived warm or cold, not hot. We ordered room service dinner once, the food arrived warm/almost cold and we were sick the next day - unsure if it was related to this dinner or not. We felt the villa was slightly over priced for what it is, especially because it was slightly run down - needs a little bit of maintenance. The bed was also very hard.

Size of rooms, staff were friendly Short bluebird ride to Legian Markets and restaurants.

They emptied our pool to clean it but did not clean it and just refilled. They did not let us know they would be emptying the pool. They came back and called the rooms to let them in at midnight to check if the pool was full again.

Extremely welcoming and friendly staff. The villa was amazing, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was adequate and delivered on time. House keeping was well done and the reception was very helpful and enquired on the phone for us when we tried to book tickets to the Safari online. Villa also have some trustworthy drivers that they recommend for any long trips/day trips and the price can be negotiated with the driver.

We had a two bedroom villa. The bedroom upstairs could use some lighting improvement as it was rather dim at night compared to the room downstairs.
