Good location

Good location. Very large shower! Unusual for France! When we arrived - after check in time - the studio had not been cleaned from the previous occupant, which was distressing. However the host responded within 20 minutes of notification and had someone there to change sheets and towels and vacuum, so that was impressive and appreciated. It is a good location, say for folks coming in on the train or wanting really downtown.

Stairs are steep and difficult for older people. There was no soap or shampoo/soap in the shower. As said, it had not been cleaned when we arrived. Only way to control room temperature seemed to be by opening or closing windows. Probably a better choice for younger people. We are in our late 70's and not in great health.

There was a bar across the road that played incredibly loud heavy metal music until 0100 in the morning. It was impossible to sleep.

It's in a very noisy street. You can not really have the windows open because of this. Kitchen is not really completely equipped.

We had 2 apartments for 8 people. Unfortunately only got 4 towels altogether initially but did eventually get more after requesting them. One apartment didn't have enough seating for 4. Apartments were grand, they just possibly weren't suited to our numbers.

The location is nice. It is at the center. The Apartment is newly renovated.

There is some that needs to improve. The Apartment is hot at the Afternoon till night. There is a fan that is not work. There is a Dishwasher but no dishwasher Tablet. Other is ok.

Appartement in whole is good for its money. Small, but has everything you need.

Host sent us incorrect code from the door. There was strong smelling cigarette inside. Towels and sheets were totally old. No toilet paper and soup. And the best - spoiled food in microwave.

Location was perfect for my needs. Staff helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Wifi signal was strong and TV worked well with many channels. Breakfast was delicious and filling. I would recommend Gîtes de l'isle - Appartements en Location Courte Durée.

pleasant stop over on way back home

good communication with host who was quick to respond to our needs. very clean apartment. the bed was comfy. parking was easy, free and a short walk to the apartment.

it was very noisy at times with others in the block coming in very late and banging doors. also we were woken by people leaving the building at 6am talking extremely loudly and slamming a door (that actually closes quietly if left) twice! of course this is not a reflection on the hosts or apartment and we may just be extra fussy.

Location was good, great shower. All the amenities were there but we only used the fridge & kettle so cannot comment on other facilities.

People up & down the stairs from the other appartments between 2 & 4am each night. I tried to use hair dryer but it rattled & felt unsafe so I didn't use it & I think it needs checking.

Superb

This is an old townhouse with a few small apartments. It was something different clean and cozy. We were a family of 4 and once it was time to open the sofa at 23.00 we noticed there was no bed linen for the sofa bed ( at least we couldn't find any ) ... I took a chance and sent a message to the host even tho it was late. He replied within minutes and came with new fresh bed linen.

Have never been in a small french village before so don't have much to compare with. However, i wasn't 100% comfortable parking the car in the area overnight. Felt there was a few dodgy people around.

The shower was okay

This apartment is a horror show. We were greeted by a MASSIVE amount of flies due to the window that was left open right above 10 rubbish bins. The flies were not a one-off either, there were dead fly carcasses on the indoor windows - someone else had done battle with them and the cleaner had not made an effort to remove them. And you WILL be sleeping with the windows closed. The sheets were as cheap as you can find, the hairdryer was broken, (it's a fire hazard) there were bare lightbulbs in the bathroom… not the decorative kind, just bare bulbs. Our 'host' got back to us once to give us the door codes & would not pick up 5 minutes later when we called back to inquire where we could find the 'free parking' that was advertised on their ad. To top it all off the message in the room says we are to remove the used bedlinen ourselves & that there is a strict fee of €20 for leaving after 10a. Are you kidding, we got out of there as soon as we could!

Do not stay there if you value your car with your travelling stuff inside, not required for one nigh

There was no parking apart from on the street and there was none when we arrived We had a car full of our travel clothes and a very, very expensive bicycle . This needs to be better explained on the booking.com website for this accommodation. The owner was not interested in our plight and was over 80 dollars richer because we didn’t use the room. Good luck to him. We decided to stay somewhere else .

Excellent place to stay for a short visit to Chateau Thierry and district.

This is a modern well restored apartment which was particularly clean and well equipped. It enjoys a very good location right in the centre of Chateau Thierry with free public car parking just round the corner. We were in the ares to buy champagne and where better? there was also a very good selection of restaurants all within easy wlking distance.

All was good but perhaps a more substantial curtain in the bedroom would be an improvement.

Lovely Modern Studio Apartment in central location!

This was a lovely modern fully functional studio apartment for a long stay. I was able to use the kitchen for daily cooking, keep the fridge stocked with items bought from the local supermarket and with access to all local shops it was easy to buy my daily baguette!! The room was larger than I expected. There is a fabulous large walk in shower with supply to hot water and toiletries in the bathroom if required. The bed was reasonably comfortable for a long stay and there was a decent wi-fi signal for the majority of the time as well as large TV with access to entertainment such as Netflix. I enjoyed the location in the bustling town center, the road noise didn't bother me and there were shutters that could be pulled down over the window at night. The host was always ready to give assistance when needed and I was not disturbed by the host at all which was appreciated. The location is ideal for walking to the castle and other places in the town center and I found the interior of the flat quiet most of the time according to the other guests staying at the time. I would definitely choose to stay here again.

Occasional noise disturbances from other people especially Saturday night. Things falling on floor above, floor being played like a drum and general party mode and inconsiderate nature of guests staying there which was short lived and expected at the weekend to some extent. Thankfully only one night! There was what appeared to be an opening night of a bar with live music on Saturday night just opposite the apartment. Fine if you're also staying awake until 2am! I didn't like the skull money box or the mirrored windows opposite the road where I discovered people living there could see me! (Just pull the blind down a bit!)

Todo muy cerca, centro de la ciudad, mercados, restaurantes., farmacia , panadarias maravillosas,, estaba muy limpio todo..excelente localizacion , justo en el centro. Ciudad es linda Esta muy bien.

unbequeme Treppe (bis zur 2. Etage), Ausblick in einen schrecklichen Hinterhof mit Mülltonnen, abends lief im Hof eine Lüftungsanlage, die im Laufe der Nacht ausging. Auch wenn man berücksichtigt, dass die Fotos mit Weitwinkel aufgenommen wurden, war das Zimmer deutlich kleiner als erwartet.

Pas de papier toilette en arrivant, un lavabo qui s'est rapidement mis à fuir dans la SDB car mauvais écoulement. Le plus gênant a été de constater les tiroirs de rangement casseroles dans la cuisine plein de miettes et des toiles d'araignée tout le long des bords de plafond côté fenêtre. Quant aux parties communes, sols non balayés pas propres. Une seule éponge usagée pour la cuisine et la salle de bain : on n'a même pas osé la toucher !

Logement bien mais très moyen pour l'immeuble en lui-même.

Le logement était bien aménagé, bien agencé, propre et calme. Sa situation en plein centre ville est un bon atout.

C'est dommage que l'immeuble soit aussi vétuste et que le numéro de la rue (le 15) n'apparaisse pas du tout sur la façade. Savoir que la porte d'entré est située à côté de la laverie n'est pas du tout évident. Le couloir, l'escalier et la cage d'escalier mériteraient d'être rénovés et repeints. C'est dommage car cela abaisse vraiment le standing de cette proposition.
