Horizon Villa Kastellos Rethymno

Nice hotel rooms in perfect location in Hydra town.. Right opposite to City Hall. From room no..2 that we had, you could see the sea and also Hydra' s central church with its 2 belfries and the one with the clock..

Too many bell rings when you sleep, the hours each hour and one bell per half hour. The room was not the one that was presented in booking, but was in some cases better.

Tolle Lage für Wanderungen und Aktivitäten in der Nähe. Viel Platz. Pool. Tolle Terrasse. Insgesamt haben wir uns arrangieren können.

Es fehlen 2 separate Schlafräume! Es gibt nur einen sehr großen Raum mit 2 Hochebenen ohne abgeschlossene Wände. Nur 1 separater Schlafaum. In der Beschreibung war dies nicht zu erkennen. - Das häufige laute Hundegebell hat sehr genervt. Trotz der Einschränkungen hatten wir eine gute Zeit.

Betten bequem, Grundstück, Lage und Pool gut.

Kein Willkommensgruß (ein Zettel oder eine Nachricht), keine Hinweise für WLAN-Passwort o.ä., Ansprechpartner hat sich (aufgrund von Fragen) erst sehr spät zurückgemeldet bzw. gar nicht - war auch nicht bereit vorbeizukommen. Dass zwei von drei Schlafzimmern keine Tür haben war auf den Bildern nicht unbedingt zu erkennen, dadurch natürlich kaum Privatsphäre. Und es sind nicht zwei Badezimmer sondern nur eins und eine zusätzliche Toilette. Leider auch keine Nachricht zur Abreise :-( erst als wir schon im Flieger saßen.

The first place to stay on our Crete holiday. Horizon villa is located about 15 minutes drive from Rethymno in a smaller and very quiet village and it offered a nice escape from the tourist hustle and bustle in the evenings. The private pool offered a chance to cool off in the evenings, even after swimming in the Mediterranean Sea. The garden was full of various, exotic fruit trees - pomegranate, olive, fig, lemon, orange, some cacti 🌵, but also regular apple trees. The interior of the house was not very modern but completely sufficient for such a 3-night stay. There were enough sleeping places for our family of 5, but there was no such thing as a proper sofa for watching TV late at night. We also got to experience a bit of extreme - the electricity went out for about 45 minutes one evening. Since it gets really dark from 8:00 PM, we had the feeling that we need to go to a gas station somewhere to buy candles. 😃
