Tarifa Cozy House - Beach & Parking

We liked lots of things. The location is great; a lovely walk to the town along the beachfront. Onsite parking a huge plus. Lovely well equipped 1 bedroom apartment. Great WiFi. Lovely bathroom. Ceiling fan in the bedroom. There was a/c too but we didn’t need to use it. Lovely private garden with nice and comfortable outdoor furniture. We were able to take our dog for a small additional fee which location-wise was just a hop, skip and jump to the lovely beach. Día and Mercadona supermarkets are within walking distance and there’s a handy kiosk (probably seasonal opening) within 2 mins walk selling drinks, snacks and bags of ice. A few lovely friendly bars and restaurants within 5 mins walk. And in late June a lovely breeze from the Atlantic which was most welcomed. Great hosts.

We stayed at the property for four nights in May. We were very impressed with the communication from the hosts, the location and the cleanliness of the apartment on arrival. We loved having the private garden area for our dog and the off-road secure parking was a real bonus. The proximity to the promenade and a flat walk into Tarifa centre was fantastic and there are lots of great places to eat and drink within a five minute walk. We had some problems when we arrived, but this was dealt with so professionally and efficiently we left as very happy customers and we would definitely return.

When we arrived the apartment was very damp indeed and this could be felt on the bed linen and soft furnishings. It made us both cough and become very snuffly after the first night. There was obvious mould issues in the bedroom and a huge patch of damp below the bedroom window. However, as mentioned, this was dealt with straightaway and we couldn't fault the response. If I had one criticism it would be to buy better pillows for the bed. They are flat and lumpy.
