Terrace Relax Apartment. City & Beach

The apartment was clean and in a good location, it was easy to get around to restaurants/cafes/supermarkets. The place has everything you need - AC, comfortable twin bed, kitchen, coffee and a bidet(!!! learned the value of a bidet in Italy), etc. The connection to the airport was ok as well.

A couple things were a bit of an annoyance for our stay here. The host messaged us several times urging us to leave before the actual check-out time which created extra stress. The check-in is at 5PM which is very much outside the industry norm and a very late check-in, especially considering the check-out is still 12PM and it’s non-negotiable. Taking this into account, the check-out should also then be several hours after the industry norm. Although we checked in late anyway, I would pay attention to this if I was booking it otherwise and maybe go with another place with an earlier check-in. The AC in the bedroom is directed at the bed and it made me wake up several times during the night because of the air blowing on me. Furthermore, the AC can’t be left on while you leave the apartment because you have to insert a key into the wall (like a key card in hotels) for electricity, including the AC, to work. The keys are also locked together so you can’t leave the one key in the wall while leaving. This is very annoying in a place like the south of Spain where the sun is blazing and temperatures reach 40c+ in the summer. The terrace is shared with other apartments which is fine, but this should be disclosed already in the listing itself not after booking.

Het appartement is behoorlijk gedateerd. Het is super gehorig qua straat verkeer en geluiden van andere bewoners. Na onze reis van 1.5 weken door Andalusie waar we 5 verschillende appartementen of hotels hebben geboekt, was Malaga appartement Terrace Relax de laatste. In verhouding met de andere logeer adressen viel wat dit tegen. Vooral de onrust van geluiden zorgden er niet voor dat we erg relaxed de dagen en nachten hebben doorgebracht. Het dakterras is fijn maar ongezellig en een vervelende rioollucht zorgt er niet voor dat je er daar echt lekker kan ontspannen. Het kan helemaal aan ons hebben gelegen maar wilde dit toch even delen.
