Greg's Great Location Apartment

great location and apartment, of a larger one that's been carved up so a bit weird entry and def a shared hallway with shoes and lots of umbrellas, in a cool older building right next to the station (so if you arrive by rail, it's super convenient and nice). we arrived by car and directions/parking were a little confusing but ultimately worked out. Worth noting there is a small elevator which was a good surprise, even after reading reviews, and it was comfy place, with the added benefit of being right next door to a pretty killer hipster microbrewery with apps. good way to decompress, discover, and stumble home. place was clean, spacious, and would definitely stay again.

Biggest surprise was couldn't open the bedroom window b/c of air pollution but wall AC in hallway made this not really a problem. Arrived by car and directions/parking were a little confusing but ultimately worked out due to decent pictures. Not much parking available though as shared lot behind a KFC. Shared hallway was a bit unexpected; could hear another apartment and storage place with bird, etc. (although really not a big deal as locks, it was quiet, and felt super safe).

The apartment was easily accessible from the airport (about a 30-minute drive) and the location itself made it a ten-minute walk to the main Prešeren Square, where you’ll find a host of bars and restaurants, walks along the river and bridges to cross. It takes a bit longer to reach Ljubljana Castle but it’s worth the walk up! The apartment was spotless and more than enough room for this family of four to sleep, wash and eat breakfast we’d bought locally before heading out for our two days of sightseeing. The coffee machine was welcome as was the use of the washing machine and tumble dryer for a quick turnaround of holiday clothes.

We found it tricky to get the key out of the lock on arrival but realised the keys will only release with them horizontal in the lock. 👍🏻 Just make sure to put the shoes in the rack provided by the door. The old gentleman next door didn’t take kindly to one pair on the floor as we’d run out of room.

Brilliant location for all transport connections. Lovely apartment.

The host Gregor has provided us with all necessary information in advance including a detailled description on how to get the key. Gregor was very helpful when we forgot stuff in the apartment - very appreciated! The apartment is located perfectly for travelers by train. It is very close to Ljubljana central station and yet, it is very quiet, you don't hear the noise from the streets and trains which was very surprising. The apartment is in short walking distance to the center of Ljubljana. It is situated on the upper floor but the house has an elevator so no problem with luggage. The apartment is very spacious, clean and modern and is equipped with everything you need. The beds are very comfortable. It is a great location for a city trip to Ljubljana!
