Beautiful setting, but let down by avoidable issues

The view from the terrace is truly stunning - peaceful, expansive, and exactly what we’d hoped for. The air conditioning worked very well, which made a big difference during the hot nights. The kitchen is also well-equipped if you plan to cook; lots of utensils and cooking gear available. (We didn't use the pool so I can't comment on it)

This is a private home, not a professional rental, which isn’t clear until a small banner far down the Booking.com listing. That’s an issue with the platform, not the owner, but it affected our experience. We didn’t realise we’d need to coordinate directly for check-in, which made our arrival more complicated (esp as we were driving from far away and arrived later than planned). More frustrating was the lack of basic linens. After we were already travelling, the owner messaged us privately to say that sheets and towels were not included, and would cost extra. This is not clear anywhere in the ad. Even in private home rentals, sheets and towels are standard, so hiding this detail and then charging for it felt unwelcoming. There are no hand towels or bath mat, either. The flat didn’t feel thoughtfully prepared: watered-down soap, only just enough dish detergent and toilet paper, and no laundry detergent (so the machine wasn’t usable). One of the stove burners emitted a smell and smoke, so we stopped using it. We needed to clean the floors when we arrived, and I’ve since seen other guests mention this in reviews. Yet we were asked to clean the kitchen and bathroom before departure — which we’re generally happy to do — but the way it was framed (“cleaning products have been graciously provided”) felt tone-deaf. There’s no dedicated parking - a few shared visitor spots, but they were all full; luckily a kind neighbour let us use his space. If you’re staying for a week or more and come prepared with your own supplies, this place may suit you well. But for a short stay, with no notice of these details beforehand, it felt like a string of avoidable inconveniences - and we didn’t expect to be furnishing a holiday rental just to feel settled for a few days.

A great choice if a quiet retreat is what you want and of course there is also a swimming pool onsite to!

Quiet location with lovely views of the Bay of Cavalaire. The apartment is comfortable and their is visitor parking onsite in the parking spaces marked with a V, so you may not get parked right outside the apartment block. The apartment also benefits from a washing machine and an airer, and if you are as lucky with the weather as I was your washing will dry in no time.

No issues with the property from my point of view be aware that La Croix-Valmer is a 20-minute walk down hill but leave 30-minutes for the walk back as it’s all uphill, you can of course drive or ride and there is plenty of parking around the town which is home to restaurants, bars, supermarket and bakery.

The property had a lovely view from the balcony

The apartment was set in a quiet residential neighborhood, but not within walking distance to the town. It could do with a bit of a facelift and a declutter - lots of furniture full of stuff and the bedroom was a tight squeeze with the wardrobe - if it could be extended into the covered part of the balcony it would make a big difference….

L’appartement avec une vue magnifique sur la mer et les collines ! Le calme la journée et la nuit ! Loin des grandes routes de passage de Voitures ! Magnifique grande piscine bien entretenue pour nager vraiment à son aise !

Tout confort dans un endroit reculé mais bien situé

Il y'a tout ce qu'il faut dans l'appartement pour passer un séjour confortable. Nous étions avec nos deux enfants de 3 et 13 ans et le canapé lit est de bonne qualité, grand et confortable pour eux deux. Nous concernant, le matelas du lit de la chambre était très confortable aussi, nous aurions préféré un lit plus large mais c'est juste un détail ( la taille de la chambre ne le permet pas de toutes façons). La vue est magnifique, la cuisine est plus que équipée, vaisselles et ustensiles de cuisine très complet ( comme à la maison). Je recommande vivement ce logement !!

Les chaises de la terrasse pas très adaptés à la table qui s'y trouve. Facilement rectifiable :)
