Really good breakfast. The room was clean and well equipped. No noise, I appreciated the hotel in overall. No doubt I'll come back to La Toile au Beurre for my next trip in Ancennis.

Great location, really at the door of the church in the middle of the center of Ancenis. Very clean and modern interior in the rooms. Located in a charming building. Peaceful quiet place for sleeping.

Delightful hostess. Spacious well appointed room. Room was relatively cool despite no ac. Host provided an electric fan which made all the difference. Centrally located so good access to all restaurants. Handy free public parking. Great breakfast.

Quirky but really nice. Our room was connected (sort of) to another and as it was free, she left it open for our use, with an air cooler switched on ahead of our arrival. Very nice staff and wonderful breakfast.

Breakfast was extremely expensive for just bread and fruit , A hard boiled egg or some cheese and meats would have made it much more satisfying.

The room was quite large and airy. Large windows to open and have fresh air. The room and bathroom were clean and bright.

When you state that it has a kitchenette one expects a kitchenette. The fridge was empty and open and warm. It would take several hours to get cool again. It would not kill you to have a couple cold water bottles in the fridge and a small juice to welcome your guests. A couple of eggs and a small piece of cheese, a bit of butter and oil, a couple of pieces of dried toast all of which would cost less than 3-4 euro, which you could easily tack on the room price and pleasantly surprise your guests. Your kitchenette immediately tells the client "DO NOT USE ANY OF THIS". And how about having 4 coffee thumbs, a small selection of teas and 5-6 sugar envelopes, would that be a huge cost? Also, no elevator and getting to the 3rd floor with heavy luggage is no fun. You claim to have bike storage but you do not tell that it is 400 meters away in a garage. Your breakfast is a nice presentation but for value it has very little, just breads, croissants and jams, some yoghurt and some fruit. Then you ask for extra money for a boiled egg. As I said if the kitchenette was useful I would cook a breakfast for a king and queen for the nearly 30 euros you charge for the breakfast. It is well known that store hours are strange in France and not so easy for a cyclist to find a market nearby, particularly mid afternoon or on a Sunday and or Monday. Be a helper and gain the appreciation of your clients. You have a real fine place and you could make it a 10/10 star accommodation with less greed and more compassion for your tired traveler clients. Sa va?

Ancenis is a very good base for exploring Nantes and Angers. The landlady of this hotel speaks good English, and she is helpful and hospitable. There's a lot of parking close to the hotel, and though some spaces are restricted for the Thursday market, there are ample alternatives. The hotel is spotless and the beds are very comfortable.

Beautiful place to stay. Breakfast was good. Would definitely stay again
