The location was perfect for the places we were visiting. The hotel was very clean, a great size room, toilet/shower facilities were fine. Good value for money.

No tea/coffee facilities in the room or available to order. No safe in the room. Over priced breakfast & other food options...ridiculous prices (80 euros for 4 people).

Airport hotel room

We needed a room for 4 (family room type) and there aren't so many options around Frankfurt airport and this was the more affordable. Actually it is simply 2 double rooms that can be connected by opening 2 doors (in front of each other). The size of the room and bathroom was good.

One of the door to connect the room could stay open, the other one we had to block with a chair to keep it in an open position otherwise it was closing itself. The check-in experience wasn't the best, there isn't a check-in desk per say. Only computer into which you have to enter your data and then you can pay with the credit card. In principle, this is good, except that the payment system didn't work when we got there, so we entered everything on the computer and then could not pay... It is only after asking the lady working there that she told us the system wasn't working on that day. It would have been better to put a paper on the computer to say it was out of order... She finally checked us in herself, then we went to our 2 rooms to realize that the doors between them were locked. So we went down again to ask and the lady gave us a key to unlock the doors saying we had to bring the key down ASAP afterwards. One of the blanket covers had yellow stains on it...

The frond desk. Both day and night clerks. They have a row of computers at check in for you to do your own check in, that’s fine, but no instructions that’s how you check in, with a clerk standing at the end. I went up to her and told her I had 2 rooms reserved, without looking up she pointed to the computers behind me and said check in on the computer, no eye contact. Ok. Went to the computer and it is all in German and couldn’t see anything that looked like a place to change to English. So I asked the lady if there was a place in English, she literally gave a huff and came over to help, and she did help with one, got through the 2nd and I made my cards. During check out, which you do online, and I got a response to see the clerk and pay bill. Which was confusing because room was prepaid and we didn’t buy anything. So went to the day clerk and told her and showed her what my phone was saying. She looked it up and didn’t say anything and once again no eye contact or confirmation of anything. I waited then repeated again. No response. I finally said do I owe anything or am I checked out. She told me to check out on line. I told her I tried and it told me to come to the desk. She looked at me and said yes I can see. “You can go.” So I repeated for confirmation “what do I owe”. She said you are checked out that she was looking at it. After asking again for confirmation that I didn’t owe money, she looked at me and said”no, I am looking at it.” I don’t know why she couldn’t just say when I first asked, let me look at your account, then tell me I didn’t owe anything and was I was checked out, instead of this done and dance routine. Germany is one place I will never return to or schedule a layover at.

A little Oasis in the City.

A wonderful hotel semi close to airport. A peaceful oasis with a restaurant that serves nice food. A tasty breakfast with excellent foods.

Everything was great. A shuttle that runs all day would be great. We paid $30 to take a cab to the hotel from the airport.

Only one staff member and lots of Kiosks for self service. Long line of people to talk to the one member of staff. Killed some kind of bug in my room. Expensive restaurant with mediocre food on premises, and nothing else around.

Exhausting no heat relief night… Happy to get out and leave.

Close to airport… Close to river walking path to charming old town and restaurant . Room was modern and clean.

Room was too hot and noisy…. Climate control was broken and we couldn’t sleep… Our view of the industrial area was terrible… We were not offered the option of a river view. Breakfast was very bad with frozen fruit and cold eggs…. No one around to help us…. Very ugly entrance to the hotel… Smoking area by the door was very bad.

Don’t stay here!

Room was fine.

I picked it because of the free shuttle. Unfortunately I didn’t understand where to find the shuttle. I waited for it for a long time, and saw the ones for other hotels pass by a few times each. Finally took a taxi, which added €34 euros to the cost of the hotel. Check out isn’t until noon, but the last shuttle leaves the hotel at 10:30. Staff hard to find and not very friendly or helpful.

the waitress in the restaurant was very friendly, but totally overloaded. why was she working there all alone? i blame the managers for overworking and exploiting the staff.

Reception staff were grumpy and unhelpful. I hated the attempt to automatise the check-in and check-out. One of the things one most looks forward to at a hotel is to meet a friendly and helpful person. Here there was nothing like that. The airport shuttle was unavailable, because it takes a long break over the middle of the day - preposterous. So I had to wait for hours for buses and walk a long way to finally get to the hotel, after a night on the plane. I will warn all friends and family not to make use of a Hey Lou Hotel.

Not nice

During our entire stay at the hotel, our rooms were never cleaned, and our towels were not changed. The breakfast was disappointing, offering very few options despite costing 20 euros. To make matters worse, after I had to correct a mistake, they nearly overcharged us for their already poor service. Additionally, the room lacked basic amenities like a kettle and an iron. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Facilities were clean and comfortable

I paid extra for a dinner buffet but it was extremely disappointing. They only had rice, pasta and gravy available! I couldn't believe it. The options were limited and food quality poor. It was a complete waste of money. The breakfast buffet was slightly better but also had a limited selection and also didn't taste great - baked beans, sliced meat, yogurt and eggs.

Chic and up to date rooms, spartan, no nearby restaurants, no in room coffee service, Near Airport

Hotel is near to the airport in an industrial park area. Nothing close by in walking distance for snacks or restaurants :( Shuttle service was essential, Taxi would have cost upwards of 30 Euro on the Booking.com app.

No coffee service in the room, No English channels on the TV. Difficulty accessing the airport transfer. Needs to be spelled out on the Booking.com site. I found the airport shuttle stop at the airport terminal, but had no idea when or if a shuttle would come. without local phone access, I could not message or call the property. When I tried on WhatsApp, there was no answer. I was able to use a hot pot from the front desk to boil water and was able to have some cup-noodle for dinner, but should have eaten at the airport before going to the hotel. Hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, spoke English well. there is a local Room Tax levied by the local government that is added on to the bill, be aware of this.

Quiet, super tidy, welcome place to stay. Stylish rooms A/C works good Good breakfast 6.00-9.30 (eggs, sausage, veggies, fruit, yogurt, musli, bread, cheese and ham varieties etc) Restaurant closes at 10pm (actually 9.30pm!) Shuttle runs both ways from T1/T2, BUT on a strict schedule: 5.30, 6.30, 7.30…10.30, then there will be a break until 4.30pm. Last shuttle is at 10.20pm from T1

No coffee machine in the room! Just soap in the bathroom 1 pillow per person The restaurant starts shutting down at 9.15-9.30pm, so make sure you ate on the way to the hotel (nothing around the Styles like shops or restaurants). Don’t forget to take a Shuttle access card at check in and list yourself for a pick up!:)
