Woodside Bay Chalets

Location was stunning and pre sent instructions to access the property made it very easy to locate.

Loved everything!

The view at this place was one of the best I’ve ever stayed. It’s a beautiful, quiet, romantic location. The chalet is clean and well equipped.

There really is nothing not to like. The island itself is quite difficult to navigate but Steve and Heidi make getting to this chalet an easy process.

Once we entered the building, the main living area and bedroom views from the windows did not disappoint.

A clearer description of this particular property and access to it on Booking.com would be helpful. For example, this accommodation on Booking.com is titled "1 bedroom apartment", but there is no cross-reference to Summer House, the name listed on Woodside Bay Chalet website. This caused some confusion for us as we thought we were in a different residence. We think it would help to put property names on the website photos, to group them accordingly, and to post clear photos or videos showing access . We were surprised by the gravel road access to the property from the main road. We were also shocked to discover the 150m or so trek from the specified gravel car park, up a steep incline with about 25 steps, to the front door. The only mention in Woodside Bay's description at the time of our booking was that this property was not suitable for disabled guests. We aren't disabled, and we are active seniors, but there was no way we were going to lug our 20kg suitcases over gravel and up this distance. If you have an overnight or light carry-on luggage, this access may be fine, but for heavy, larger check-in luggage, be advised. (See attached video on Google reviews). The kitchenette was very tiny, there was no under cupboard lighting over the cooktop as there was over the sink, and the non-stick pans were heavily scratched. The toilet seat was too small for the toilet bowl (see photo). The bathroom sink counter had very little room to place toiletries (see photo). We followed the TV instructions, but in the end had to contact the site manager, who had to contact the owner, who came the next day to assist us, and agreed to add one additional step to the instructions for clarity and ease of use. There is no deck to enjoy, as with the other properties at the bottom of the hill. Overall our stay was just okay.
