Beyond lovely. The hosts are exceptionally friendly, caring and accommodating.
Quiet setting on the edge of the wetland, a short distance from the village. An easy place to settle into, we'll be back.

Beautiful lush grounds, amazing view of the Martin Dam, particularly from our room. Exquisitely clean and classy natural stone finishes. The best bath I’ve had in my life - I usually avoid baths and far prefer showers. (Our shower was also fabulous btw.)
Views to die for.
And Christa’s food is delicate perfection. She’s a definitely detailed person and it shows in her attention to presentation and flavour.
Beautiful walking path along the fast-flowing river. We stopped for a picnic in a lovely shady spot next to a rapid.
It’s a premium facility and it’s definitely worth it’s price.

Really lovely place to stay in Wakkerstroom. We had a very comfortable room, with a little deck outside where we could sit and enjoy the view over the dam and watch and listen to the myriad of birds. We walked on the hill nearby and met some very friendly donkeys.
The steak and tipsy cake we had for dinner were fabulous, and an excellent breakfast too!

It was tranquil and a wonderful experience. Loved the trees and nature where you hear water and birds all the time. Wonderful hospitality.
