Relaxing island escape with great food and wine

A truly wonderful location! The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist. Breakfast was exceptional, freshly prepared by Claudia. We enjoyed the slow pace of island life, spending our days relaxing by the pool and exploring the island. There are several excellent restaurants nearby, and we had dinner at Dalmatino twice because it was absolutely fantastic. The island also produces high-quality wines, so be sure to pick up a few bottles from the wineries in Lumbarda.

The location is quite remote, and the roads are narrow at times.

Amazing stay on the island, away from the crowds, close to some amazing restaurants and including an amazing breakfast!

We absolutely loved our holiday stay at the Kis Residence and can’t wait to return next time we come to the island! The host provided us with so many great tips, including restaurants, day trips and beach recommendations. In addition, the breakfast was truly amazing - Claudia was super attentive and it was always a great start of the morning. Thank you all for making our stay so amazing!!

We recommend having a car because it’s quite remote and will give you more flexibility.

The apartment is in a local area of Korcula with only two restaurants within walking distance. While they were great, we found ourselves driving into Old Town on the other nights we stayed.

Relaxing Stay in Korcula in Spacious Apartment Surrounded by Gardens

Kis Residences is about a 10 minute drive from Korcula Town. We were met at arrival, given a tour of the property, and recommendations for fantastic area restaurants. We had a spacious two-bedroom, two full-bathroom apartment on the ground floor. The second full-bathroom was quite a nice bonus. Claudia, who served breakfast in the morning, was a delight. The gardens were beautiful, pool inviting, and atmosphere relaxing.

Perfect!!

This place is like a dream! The whole island is just so beautiful and the view from the balcony is amazing and calm. The pool is super to chill and swim in the afternoon. The breakfast is super nice and tasty, with special thanks to Claudia who was always a lovely host every morning :) and great coffee too!! (Very important) Do make sure to get a car or motorbike to really be able to explore the island.

A beautiful property with the most amazing view

Kis Residence is a beautiful property overlooking olive trees, the sea and mountains. The 2 bedroom apartment we stayed in was spacious and had everything we needed as a family. The view is spectacular and we had breakfast in the balcony every morning. The beach is only a few mins walk and the town is about 15 mins drive away. Franjo and his family were great hosts, everything was communicated to us clearly and a special mention for Claudia who was so kind, friendly and helpful during our stay. We would highly recommend this property for a peaceful holiday in Korcula.

Great property with the best host!

The view from the room was outstanding. Franjo is an amazing host. He made sure to spend enough time with us to know more about us and our plans, and helped us greatly with our itinerary in Korcula. They grow so many fruits, vegetables, and other plants at the property - a lot of what we ate at breakfast came straight from the source! This is the perfect place for anyone seeking a quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life!

Perfect in every way for a short getaway to sample Croatia and relax in the sunshine.

The pool area was idyllic- bed loungers, clean pool, flowers. Wonderful. The breakfasts were delicious - eggs every way you could ask for and veggies/fruit a plenty. A 2 minute walk down a lovely path to the seas (& a bar and restaurant). Rooms were basic but comfortable, clean, light and all we needed.

Not a negative about the property, but without a car, getting around is expensive (€25 one way to Korcula Town). No grocery store in walking distance, but one next to pier so prepare to get your groceries then.

Relaxing and quiet apartments off the beaten track.

The pool area was lovely and quiet, very relaxing. The breakfasts were absolutely gorgeous - all freshly made with ingredients from their garden.

It was quite remote, which is the only reason we gave it a 9 instead of a 10. There are a couple of restaurants in walking distance but if you wanted to go to the beach or anywhere else on the island, it was a minimum €25 taxi ride.

Beautiful and relaxing hotel.

We had a lovely time at Kis. We stayed for 6 nights. The apartments are spacious and well appointed. Breakfast was delicious everyday. Franjo was very helpful and welcoming. The pool area is stunning and very clean. Kneze has three good restaurants in walking distance from Kis which suited us well. The coast is stunning and very peaceful, we were glad not to be staying in Korcula town itself. You can rent boats and SUP from the beach right by Kis. Taxi into Korcula (6km) was €25 so we took the bus from Kneze which was €3.50 and only takes 15 mins to to get Korcula town. It runs 3-4 times a day on weekdays. Only 2x on a Saturday and not at all on Sundays. The buses were on time and air conditioned, would definitely recommend this over a taxi. Would definitely recommend Kis for a relaxing and peaceful holiday.

Only thing is there isn’t a grocery shop close to Kis. Closest one is in Račisće which is a 40 min walk or 10 min bus from Kneze. It’s a lovely town so worth the visit but the shop is quite expensive. Cheaper supermarkets (Tommy) in Korcula town. The local restaurants are reasonably priced and breakfast was included in our stay at Kis so we didn’t really need a grocery shop.

Exceptional

I had a wonderful stay at Kis Residence. The setting and pool area make it a beautiful place to spend a relaxing few days. As others (and the hosts) have said, it helps to have a car - though I didn't and it suited me just fine for what I was looking for. There was one restaurant open within very easy walking distance and enough variety to see me through my stay. The breakfasts and coffee at Kis were the best I experienced during my 6-week trip to Croatia.

Really nice stay. Swimming pool was really nice, staff was wonderful and the view from the room was breath taking. The apartment was really clean and had all the facilities. The location is amazing, in a very calm and nice part of the island. 15 minutes by car from the center of Korkula. May this be an advantage because you will be staying in the most beautiful part of the island.

Spacious, friendly and relaxing - a great place to get on island time!

The hosts - very attentive, friendly and responsive. The breakfasts. Everyone made such delicious food – and proper coffee! The views - waking up to the sparkling Adriatic every morning? Priceless. The grounds are planted with a beautiful bounty of grapes, figs, peaches, olives, lavender and more. Absolutely memorable and peaceful.

The only thing we would change is to have AC units in the bedrooms themselves – we went in August so maybe not a problem for most during the year.
