Lovely hosts in Korcula

It was great staying in the village of Zvrnova on Korcula to get a more authentic feel and there are lots of very good walks around the area both to the north coast and the south of the island. The accommodation was comfortable and we enjoyed the little garden area. Our hosts were really kind and helped get down to the ferry when we left which was great as the buses are a bit infrequent. There were a lot of mosquitoes in the area - certainly nothing to do with our hosts but we would advise using repellant!

The kitchen area is small and the cutlery and crockery was minimal -needed another sharper knife.

Perfect location, beautiful home, exceptional hosts—can’t wait to return!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful stone house, just a 5-minute drive from Korčula old town—such a perfect location! The house itself is surrounded by a lovely small garden, creating a peaceful and charming environment. It was exceptionally clean and very functional, making our stay comfortable and hassle-free. Antonija and Duško are truly superhosts; their warm hospitality made us feel right at home, and we’re lucky to have made friends for life. We can’t wait to return!

Quaint stone cottage in quiet Zrnovo, close to old town

We were looking for something quiet but still close to the old town, so this was the perfect location. Antonija and her husband were wonderful hosts and truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, while still giving us space and privacy in our little stone cottage out back. Antonija recommended a few places which we checked out - Konoba Belin is a 5 minute walk and was such a great dinner, it usually fills up so you might want to make a reso, we snagged the last table at 7 pm - and Maestral Cafe in Lumbarda which had a great pizza and schnitzel. There’s also a little market right next door to their property, and a giant market a 5 minute drive away. If you have a car, there’s a free place for parking about 5 minutes away that is a 10 to 15 minute walk to Old Town, but be warned it’s down lots of steps (which we didn’t mind). We also stayed in and cooked dinner one night for a break from eating out, and the kitchen had everything we needed.

The calm of the village, very close to Korčula town and supermarkets. I appreciated the kindness and talks with the owner who had prepared touristic info and was always happy to help us and recommend us things to see/do. The room was very clean and simple, nothing fancy.

Parking the car if the other guest also had one wasn't always easy. But that it just a detail.

Antonio and her husband were fantastic hosts. They couldn't be more helpful and friendly. The accommodation was comfortable and clean with good aircon and lovely outdoor seating area. There is a bus service to Korkula Town and good restaurants in the village.

The most peaceful and pleasant stay.

Stone house harmony felt like a home away from home whilst on our vacation in Korcula. The little house was equipped with everything you need for a short stay. Our host greeted us on arrival, and gave us a detailed run through of the place and where to go around town and how to get there, which was extremely helpful. The accommodation is just a bit outside of town but not hard to get to with driving or even walking. The house is spacious and peaceful and it made our stay very cosy and comfortable. We loved every minute of it! Thank you!

great authentic stay

The host was very friendly and full of local advice. The house is located in a very rural town not far away from Korcula old town. It is a tiny house with a sunny terrace. Zornovo is a lively village if you want to taste the real croatian people living all year long here.

This is one of the nicest locations we have ever stayed in our travels. The stone house was perfect in size, equipped with everything that is necessary for a comfortable stay, and also very authentic and true to local architecture. The host, Antonia, is a very nice and interesting person, very helpful, she greeted us upon arrival, she gave us informations about what to visit, about the beaches, the fish market and other useful informations. She also greeted us with delicious home made cookies and syrup :) She was always around if we needed anything, but without bothering for one minute. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience, we highly recommend this location.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner of the facility, who was very nice to us and showed us everything. We were greeted with cookies, fruit and juice. The apartment is pleasant, clean and located on good location. During the entire stay, the hosts were more than cordial and whatever we asked or needed, they found a solution and helped. I would definitely recommend this apartment. We are coming back next year.

The apartment was as we expected to be, with rural charm as we wanted. It is authentic. You can feel how people lived centuries ago. Žrnovo is not “polluted” with tourism. Real people live and work there, you can feel the pulse of the place. In the apartment everything is new, clean, and functional. Internet connection is good, air conditioning is OK, etc. The apartment is placed in the very center of Žrnovo, grocery shop and coffee bar are literally 20 meters away. Nevertheless, the apartment is very calm and quite. It has a small garden in backyard, with place for grill. You can pick up your own tomato or other vegetables. Žrnovo has an excellent location. There are many things to see and do at a distance of 15 minutes drive. Marvelous town of Korčula, beautiful beaches of Lumbarda, walking tours in Žrnovo, etc. Antonija is impeccable in recommendations. She will send you to the right restaurants, beaches, walking tours, museums, etc. She knows everything about Korčula and its history, and she is happy to share that knowledge with her guests.

Lovely & attentive hosts

Antonia and her husband looked after us so well, making sure we had everything we needed and helping us moving around as we didn’t have a car. We couldn’t have expected more! The house is great and comfy and the location very good if you’re looking for somewhere peaceful away for the crowd. It’s only a few minutes drive from Korcula old town, but you also have everything you would need right by the house (small supermarket and restaurants).

Het was precies wat we zochten voor een aantal dagen op Korčula!

Locatie is uitstekend, je zit in een leuk rustig dorpje maar heel dichtbij Korčula stad. Als je er met de auto bent kun je vanaf het huisje heel makkelijk de weg op en andere dorpjes en stranden bezoeken. In het dorpje zijn er ook een aantal goede restaurants en er is een winkeltje letterlijk naast. Host is super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. In de Stone house heb je alles wat je nodig hebt en het is er schoon en met liefde gedaan.

Izvanredno iskustvo!

Apartman u mirnom Žrnovu bio je jako lijep, prostran i potpuno opremljen svim potrebnim sadržajima. Sve je bilo čisto i uredno, a atmosfera mirna i opuštajuća. Antonija i Duško su izuzetno ljubazni, komunikativni i druželjubivi domaćini – stvarno su se pobrinuli da imamo sve što nam treba i da nam boravak bude što ugodniji. Preporučili su nam i odlične plaže i restorane. Lokacija je super, u neposrednoj blizini nalazi se market Studenac, a na par minuta hoda i vrhunska konoba Belin. Topla preporuka svima za ovaj apartman!

Sielskie wakacje z dała od zgiełku miasta

Przesympatycznie właściciele, owoce i ciasto z wiśniami na powitanie, lokalizacja - z dała od zgiełku miasta, w pobliżu miejsca spacerowe, miasto Korcula w zasięgu spaceru, plaża, sklep za rogiem. Świetne miejsce na wakacje z czworonogiem.

Podobało mi się wszystko, warto zaznaczyć, że na skrzyżowaniu na Zrnovo skręcamy w prawo na Zrnovo Prvo Selo :)
