The view is breath-taking. The grounds gardens are very curated and inviting. We stayed in the tree house, which is comfortable and quirky in a good way. The bed is quality, the shower is open and on quite a tilt, which was fun with my vertigo..lol. It is not "lux", but it is definitely glamping with all that could be needed. The view from the cabina with the kitchen area and lounge is mesmerizing. We did not leave for two days. Made it up the hill with out a 4x4, but it was not raining. I would agree with the owner that a 4x4 is needed. I missed that detail when booking. I would suggest bringing water, if that is a concern for you. We brought our food and made simple meals. NOTHING is available on the hilltop property. (At least as far as we could tell.) The nature and wildlife is abundant. Watched a tree full of howler monkeys, toucans, parrots, etc....this is a prime spot for pure nature. AWESOME!

Pay attention to your emails and messages. It is a bit of a process to complete the booking. Cash or paypal ONLY - NO Credit Cards accepted. This is not a bad thing. Just be aware.

La ubicación, la comodidad, la vista al mar, el espacio es de los mejores que he conocido en Puerto Viejo, logramos ver tucanes, congos, lapas desde la casa, además de la amabilidad y ayuda del anfitrión.

Natur pur! Die Aussicht mindestens so gut wie auf den Bildern. Ganz viel Privatsphäre. Tiere beobachten (insbesondere alle Arten von Vögel) von der Couch aus, einfach eine unbeschreibliche Unterkunft! Auf dem Weg nach oben haben wir ganz viele Giftpfeilfrösche beobachten können. Gestochen wurden wir kaum, obwohl alles offen ist (dank Ventilatoren und Mückenspray wahrscheinlich). Ein Waschbär hat uns besucht. Danke auch an unseren TukTuk Fahrer Fabian, der uns immer in die Stadt mitgenommen und wieder hochgefahren hat - super Service.

Das Bad ist fast komplett offen (überdacht), das sollte man wissen. Der Weg vom Wohnzimmer/Küche zum Bad ist nicht überdacht. Sollte es heftig regnen, wird man gut nass. Dusche hatte bei uns kein warmes Wasser. Aber das ist alles nichts schlimmes, sondern sollte nur die abhalten, die eher einen Luxus-Resort-Urlaub machen wollen.

The house is spectacular, the environment and the view are glorious. This is not a compound; it’s a very exclusive space that welcomes you, the person in the tree house, and the excellent host. The drive up is very steep, but it’s worth every second; you climb up to the best views of the area (we saw the house from the reef and it's perched on the highest hill). The house is built with wood from the property and is a celebration of the view and the environment, while extremely tasteful, spacious, and comfortable. The living room has a wall-to-wall window where you see the shore and have your own private wildlife show. We will never forget the flight of the toucans, diving under us among the trees. The main bedrooms have views of the sunrise from bed. The host is a super host. Extremely warm, sweet, and helpful
