Green Garden 2017

The hosts were very kind. We loved the breakfast. The garden is beautiful.

Once the breakfast is served, I would like to eat in peace with my family without the hosts standing by and trying to make unnecessary smalltalk. The property is pretty much cut off and it's a long walk (2km) to the beach, especially in July, which was an absolute hell unless you have a car. Walking to and from the beach was horrendous in summer heat. There is no public transport that could take you to the beach, which is also where all the cafes are. Part of the route follows busy roads, there are sections without sidewalks, and there is very little shade. During our stay, with temperatures around 42°C, walking to the beach took about 30 minutes and was quite exhausting. If you have a car, this is an excellent place to stay. If you are arriving by plane and plan to spend most of your time walking to and from the beach, it is simply something worth considering before booking. The information listed on Booking stated they offer Shuttle service (free) yet when I asked for the service they wanted to charge me €30. I told them that it was listed for free, so they took down that information and said they couldn't provide the service. They also listed Beach umbrellas as part of their amenities, however, they do not have their own designated spot on the beach, so we had to pay €35 every day for a beach umbrella and two beach chairs on a private beach.

Very kind and hospitable hosts, with who we enjoyed talking about Sicily and Palermo. An incredible breakfast, freshly prepared by Mara everyday. She even customises the breakfast to your liking! Beautiful spacious apartment, fully equipped and with a renovated bathroom. Location is great: 5 minutes (car) to Mondello beach and about 15 minutes to Palermo centre. 100 % recommend! We also enjoyed the garden, but don't forget to bring anti-mosquito spray :)

The bed was a little to hard for our liking, although this is a personal preference.

Es una villa siciliana con mucho encanto y personalidad. Los anfitriones, Mara y Amadeo, son un encanto: amables, cercanos, maravillosos. Los desayunos eran de diez! Eliges opción salada o dulce, y cada mañana te sorprenden con exquisiteces preparadas la tarde antes con todo el amor del mundo. Empezar y acabar el día allí es una vivencia que no olvidaremos. Además, cuentas con un salón y una cocina llena de detalles, y parking privado dentro de la villa. Una experiencia inolvidable!!

La entrada puede ser algo confusa, y más si llegas de noche como nosotros. Pero tooooodo lo demás lo compensa y con creces!

The garden was a true highlight, offering a serene and picturesque space to relax and enjoy the Italian landscape. It felt like a private oasis where we could unwind. The outside patio was equally charming and served as the perfect spot for family gatherings, from morning coffee to evening conversations.

Unfortunately, our stay was impacted by a few key issues related to the property's owner. We found the owner, who lived next door, to be rude at times, particularly in the mornings. There was a strict breakfast routine where we had to order what we wanted each day, but this was difficult to manage with our children's unpredictable schedules. The owner's impatience when our kids weren't eating or were a bit slow in the mornings created an uncomfortable atmosphere. The most frustrating part of the trip was the day of our departure. We were forced to check out at 8:30 AM because a new family was scheduled to check in at noon. This unexpected and early departure meant we had to wait outside the property for over an hour with our luggage, which was a very disappointing and inconvenient end to our family vacation.
