Best stay on our 20 days travel, ten days from Finland to Spain and a month later again back.

Lovely accommodation and great facilities. Our hosts were so helpful, giving us details of buses into town and nearby restaurants. Wish we had booked a longer stay.

Beautifully decorated rooms in a lovely peaceful setting and with the perfect hosts.

Le Phenix is a great place to stay and only ten minutes into Rouen. We would highly recommend staying here, it was spotlessly clean, the rooms were very large, each with a beautiful colour schemes. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the shower room was large too with a great rain head shower. Even though it's only a short distance to the centre it was so peaceful and is set in a quiet street with a stunning garden, great if you have a car with plenty of parking. Simona and Alberto were the perfect hosts offering us a welcome drink and allowing us to sit out on there lovely terrace enjoying the grounds. Breakfast was fantastic too with homemade jams, homemade cake, and cereals, croissants etc. We will definitely stay again when we are in this region of France.

Secure parking, lovely bedroom with en suite. Very comfortable. The evening meal was a delightful Italian meal and breakfast was generous and delicious.

A great find

It was a great stopover on our way to La Baule Escobar - we also stayed there on our return trip back to Calais. We took advantage of the offer for dinner, which was great Italian home made food. We would definitely stay again if we return to that area of france

Clean and efficient stay

The property is situated in a beautiful garden and just around the corner of the property there is a pretty neighborhood full of beautiful villas and gardens. Very nice to go for a stroll. The couple was courteous and pleasant with some clear instructions to follow!

No complaints. Just be aware that one feels like one is living in someone else‘s house, more so than the usual B & B scenario.

Location is just outside Rouen, in a quiet neighbourhood. Alberto & Simone are very good hosts. Breakfast is very good & an evening meal can be provided.

Motorbike tour

Absolutely faultless , the owners were so helpful and even put their car outside to let me get my motorbike under cover , evening meal was amazing , as was the breakfast , the room was immaculate, I will definitely be back

Great stopover.

Very friendly and welcoming hosts. We were offered an evening meal which we accepted as we had been travelling all day. The food was excellent, as was the included glass of wine. If we pass this way again, we will certainly stay here. Highly recommended.

Roberto and Simona welcomed us into their cosy, clean home with smiling faces. The bedroom and bathroom were tidy with everything we needed for a comfortable night stay. Their dinner and breakfast was delicious!

An excellent overnight stay enhanced by wonderful hosts

Wonderful friendly hosts who made us feel very welcome in their lovely home. Beautifully clean and welcoming rooms. Secure off road parking for my motorcycle. We had a delicious home cooked evening meal and wine and a lovely breakfast the following morning. If you need accommodation in the Rouen area I can’t recommend this one enough.

Everything exceeded our expectations.Wonderful welcome so friendly and inviting.Breakfast consisted of ,Orange Juice,Cereal,Tea/Coffee,ham ,cheese,homemade cake,doughnuts,jam,baguette,butter,fresh fruit,served by the ever helpful Owners, Simona and Alberto. The whole house is spotlessly clean. Brilliant location for Rouen,bus stop 5 minutes ,bus ride 20 minutes.

Fantastic hosts.The welcome offer of a drink after a long journey. Please take note - other establishments. The room was spacious and welcoming. The shower was large and worked very well. Excellent range of books within the very pleasant lounge/relaxation area. The evening meal and breakfast were both delicious. Very convenient for motorway.

It was the perfect stopover for our journey back up through France to Calais.

Simona was very warm and welcoming, and the house itself is an eclectic mix of collectors' items, from Harry Potter to vintage cameras, evidence of Alberto's various passions. The meal was lovely, and we felt very comfortable there.

Everything was lovely, and I can't think of anything we didn't like.

Italian hospitality in a lovely French home.

Alberto and Simona were very welcoming and accommodating. Lovely spacious room. Clean and tidy. Tea/coffee making/lounge area outside bedroom. Good continental breakfast with the added bonus of homemade cake and jam. House is set in a well-kept spacious garden and it was lovely having tea, coffee and cake on arrival sitting outside on the patio. Only a 5 min walk to catch the bus to Rouen with a regular bus service so we didn't need to try to drive in and find parking.

No restaurant within walking distance of the accommodation and the nearest restaurant we could find open (we arrived on a Monday) was pretty mediocre. In hindsight, it would have been better to have booked an evening meal for our first night with the hosts as all the reviews say their food is delicious!

Comfy king sized bed set in a large roomwith excellent en suite and powerful shower. The evening meal was of Italian influence and delicious. Ample continental breakfast with cereal was made available.
