Located just a few minutes north of the whale watching capital, the home takes advantage of regular sightings of the resident whale population. Whale watching and fishing expeditions are with 8 minutes of the home. Halibut, ling cod and numerous other fish species are caught in season throughout the year as well as salmon up to 50lbs just 5 minutes from the home in the Siletz River.

Tide pools are located about 3 minutes south of the home allowing young and old alike to enjoy interaction with crabs, starfish and other tide pool inhabitants. Beware of logs, sneaker waves and slipping on the rocks when climbing around tide pools!

Location and size was great. The house is needing some TLC as it is showing ware and tear. Beach access was not convenient nor easy. Fireplaces and some tv's didn't work. Disappointed that we did not have access to the main floor master (the nicest bedroom and view). Wonderful views, great access to the highway, and enough space to spread out for our family.

Beautiful home! I wish they would put some money back into the property. Such a beautiful home to not repair things that are broken or not working. And there are a lot of things broken or not working. Also this home is not stocked well at all, so bring everything. Including toilet paper. We had to go out and purchase quite a bit of items for our stay that we were not expecting. We did not let these things upset our time. We had an amazing time but we did book a different home for 2025 Xmas

House was very clean and perfect for teens and adults. Only small critique is the garbages were already all full and the hot tub seemed like it may have needed a little more chlorine. We would definitely stay here again!

The size of the house was fantastic with lots of space available for our large party. Unfortunately one of the best rooms in the house facing the beach was locked and had a refrigerator blocking it?? Bare minimum essential items were provided including toilet paper and 3 trash bags and we quickly ran out on Thanksgiving night. Beach access is challenging requiring scaling slippery rocks and older members of our group were not able to easily get to the beach. Very unfortunate. Would have been nice to have a book providing details about the area including the closest beach access with stairs or other helpful info about the area. This is our 4th year on the Coast for Thanksgiving and with so many options I would probably not book again.

We are a family of 9 siblings - all over 60 - with spouses. Most couples had a private attached bedroom/bathroom. There were good gathering spaces also. We had great views of the ocean for those who were less mobile and close easy access to the beach for those that wanted to venture down. The theater room was a hit for watching football games. The host was responsive to our requests. Loved it!

The property had great common spaces for hosting our family reunion. We enjoyed spectacular sunsets over the ocean each night from the deck and main level of the house. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed to cook and serve food for our family of 14 people. There is a nice pool table, a hot tub, and entertainment room. The bedrooms are comfortable but the floor plan has some oddities. To access one of the bedrooms, you need to walk through the master bedroom and bathroom. Another bedroom is not near a shower. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the house had not been cleaned. We were initially told that it would take five hours to clean the house -- so we had to go out to dinner the first night rather than cooking at home. The management company did work hard to correct the mistake and got a cleaning crew in quickly. We were able to access the house 2 1/2 hours after scheduled. Although the management company indicated a willingness to refund some of our money, that has not happened yet.

Awesome property! Before making reservations, I asked about wheelchair access. I was told yes! After making the reservation and paying the deposit, I was sent an email advising me that I would need to rent a wheelchair ramp from the local medical supply. Upon entry to the house there was one bedroom wheelchair friendly, and no wheelchair access to any of the restrooms! I/we feel this is something that should not happen to anyone! I am making a formal request that a portion of our payment be refunded for the extreme inconvenience.

Fifteen family members in a beach house for a week made memories for us all as we celebrated Mom and Dad's 50th Anniversary with all the kids and grands. Hide and seek, movie nights in the theater room, quiet reading times, beach tag, pool and foosball, the Aquarium and sea lions in Newport, and meals together were made special in this big house. Each family had their own space, and the common areas were perfectly shared. Thanks for the experience.

Lots of space to spread out! The maintenance man was very quick to address any questions we had, excellent to work with. The beach access is a few houses away which made for peaceful strolls and fresh air! The houses location makes it ideal to travel north to Tillamook or south to Newport if sightseeing is on your agenda. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Stairs only go to large boulders. Only the most spry can climb over boulders and rocks. Public access down five houses also requires climbing over steep rocks. Since this was a beach vacation, grandma and grandpa could not join family activities on beach. Some of bedrooms were strange: bunk room was interior with VERY small bunks, suitable for 10 and under only. It was far away from any bedrooms for adults, so we did not let our children use it. The one queen room on outside of a king room had working water faucets coming out of wall! Those should be capped off or at least disengaged in some way. We would have used this room for our littles, but did did not risk their curiosity. Kitchen was great and eating/living spaces great for large group. Would have liked screens on windows.

A beautiful location and a nice house but a little "tired". Two refrigerators, only one ice maker and that didn't work. 3 dryers, only one worked. Nice deck but only 6 chairs for 16 people.

overall we were very pleased with the house and is location. There were a few minor irritations that to tolerate. The beach access is difficult. There is no access near the house but the public access is within walking distance but the slope is somewhat torturous with large rocks and is difficult for older individuals. We were not pleased with the the media room. There was a warning that the bulb in the projector was near end of life needs to be replaced. Fortunately there were no problems with it. The equipment in the room is old in somewhat out of date. Previous reviews have commented on that deficiency. We found that least 2 of the available close dryers did not work properly. Overall the home was well equipped with an excellent kitchen and room for every member of our family to have a bed and often their own private bathroom. There are so many excellent features of this property. We would be very interested in renting again if some of these irritating features were corrected.

This home is beautifully situated and made a great place for us to have a reunion. There is space to have privacy and the cinema room was somewhat sound proof to the baby sleeping above us which was super nice. If the house was my own, I'd have window coverings for the afternoon sun. There are shades and curtain shears on the side of the house but where the sun shines in the most (at check in time) it is brutally hot. We had problems with working televisions and the downstairs fan to circulate air does not seem to be connected to anything and a few of the TV's did not work at all but the repair guy at least came out to try. He was awesome. The owners representative of the home did their best to make things right. We filled up the propane tank and cleaned the BBQ pit which was left dirty by the last visitors when we arrived. There is a sign by the cinema room that says to call a certain person to get things figured out because the last visitors unwired the cinema room and we needed repair. The phone number on sign leads to an unconnected phone number but Joe w/the Admirals Retreat helped us to get help. By the time all people arrived, we had as much of the equipment working. Beds are comfortable, there is no AC so I'd bring your own fans. The extreme heat that is generated in the warm summer afternoons, it's near impossible to keep the house cooled. Parts of the house are not for use. Beach access is easy. Overall, I'd stay again just more prepared.

We enjoyed our time there - once the initial bumps of check in, video room repairs and shock of tacky inaccurate instructions wore off. There is no easy access to the beach. Took photos of several broken items. I think the previous tenants were rough on the house and the IT guy was frustrated with what had been done. Would I go back? Absolutely!!!

We had to clean out a bunch of slimy gross hair so that it would drain! This should not have been an issue that we had to deal with. 2. The movie theater channels and dvds do not work. The projector turns on with a blue screen, but nothing would play. We made multiple attempts to contact them about this problem by texting and calling the number provided in case of issues, but they have not replied. Communication is poor! If you provide a number to contact, then you should reply to messages and return our call.3. The upstairs white washer was not working properly upon arrival. It filled up partway with water but will not spin and wash.4. The heater in multiple rooms do not work, and it is cold over night. These should be fixed as it gets cold.5. The half bath/laundry by the theater is not flushing properly, which is requiring consistent maintenance. Overall, we were not pleased with this stay due to poor maintenance of the home. The price of this vacation home is steep considering the number of issues we ran into.

We enjoyed our week at this lovely home. The location is beautiful. We did find it hard to understand how a home this beautiful that is right on the beach does not have steps down to the beach. There is a very rocky, overgrown path that you can go down or walk down about 5 houses to a beach access. Just seems like making the path next to the home more accessible would not be that hard of a project.

Such a great place to stay, hot tub was amazing scenery was amazing I only took off one star was due to because the sauna was not operating we tried to start it up the first day we got here but the switches were not connected so we couldn’t turn it on so we enjoyed the hot tub during our stay but it’s very spacious and could in fact accommodate 17 people as it stated. Oh yes a great movie room for the family movie night was a plus just for other people coming here don’t forget to pack some dvds that’s the only thing that we could watch. But overall I would recommend all for the view and access right to the beach

View was breathtaking. We’d love to come again. Entry code emailed to us early on for check in day made checkin a breeze . Host easy to contact and responsive. Good gathering spaces, but no coffee tables for setting things down. Kitchen well equipped and functional. No electrical outlets in one bedroom which also was accessed through another of the bedrooms. Beach access was treacherous unless one walked down the street to a public assess point which became blocked off by a small lake after rain.

(The path to the beach is steep & rocky and may not be accessible to all.) The house is very spacious, and several of the bedrooms also have private bathrooms. We enjoyed the movie theater, the pool table, the big round dining/game tables, the well-appointed kitchen (with extra refrig!). The sauna is in one of the bedroom suites, fyi. I'd say it matched its description pretty well. I did have a couple of questions for the property manager, and he responded right away. Fun for a big group!

HOt tub was old, missing pads, non functioning, broken and or missing knobs and jets. requiring 2 service calls that came 2 days later. breakers kept tripping and lights didn't work. upper deck dripped on you in the hot tub.Stairway Access to ocean next to house was closed. Entry was 4 houses away. Sauna instructions stated to turn the switch till it "clunked" if you do it wrong it shuts off for 20 hours. Pillows were terrible, old and flat. Every shower leaked onto the floor. One tub had no stopper in it. The gas stove had two burners that clicked but didn't turn on. the grill in the middle was slow to heat up and impossible to regulate. Parking is for 5 cars max. if you park 6 cars there, you can't open the doors.
Once I paid my money the company stopped communicating with me. I pestered them for details, where to get the key etc. They finally responded saying I had to wait Until the day OF of visit. I had a 9 hour drive wondering and hoping I would hear from them. Rooms with a view of the ocean were locked. basement was locked. 1/3 of the doors were locked. bunk room didn't have regular twin bed, it was custom made short. no vent in the room, let alone a window. no electrical plug. walk through video shows TWO bunk rooms. there is only a glorified closet of one.
Very OVERPRICED.. go to Reunion in Florida. It is difficult with a group KNOWING some have lovely rooms and others have ****** ones. Walls are thin. noisy.

Reviewer Comments: The property was advertised with A/C (at the time we booked it), but it has no A/C (they removed the A/C reference from the Website after we arrived and called them). There are no curtains on the West facing windows and no screens on the windows. Gets very warm in the main living space (only small windows will open, so very little outside air flow through the house with windows open). They advertised a bunk room which our 5 grandchildren were looking forward to. When we arrived it was closed off due to Covid 19 (really??? our family of 11 spent 24 hrs/day together, but the grandchildren could not sleep in the same room together???). The easy beach access is not easy access. It was overgrown with bushes and the narrow path was steep and rocky in places (anyone with some limitations walking should not plan to go down to the beach). The interior was pretty clean and the finishes are average to above average, but the exterior is behind on maintenance. (needs paint, wood deterioration, overgrown/no landscaping, white plastic deck furniture needs to be replaced). The technology in the home theatre room is very outdated. The projector provides a very "grainy" picture, and there is a 50' HDMI cable laying in the corner you have to connect from the receiver to the projector to use the system. They say 6 cars will fit in the driveway, but you can only squeeze in 4. The house does have a beautiful view and the house is very roomy. There are two big refrigerators, and the pool table and foosball table were enjoyable.

But, when we got there some rooms were locked. I believe the bunk room(s). We would not have had enough beds for the others had they shown up! I don’t think any bedrooms that are advertised should be locked. The price to stay here is not cheap so you really should be getting all the bedrooms to choose from. It would be great to have a good path down to the beach as well. There is a road type path not far but it seems making a path along side the house would be doable. Having said that, the place was really wonderful and lent itself well to our family reunion. Loved the amenities, we used just about all except the theater room. The weather was absolutely perfect so lots of outside time. Loved the decks but it was good we brought our own outdoor chairs as there were not enough there. Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall our party enjoyed the rental property. A couple of things that were problematic was, when we arrived the garbage cans were almost full. We had a party of 17 and need all the cans to be empty. Maybe have the trash emptied twice when you have a party that size. The toilets in two of the downstairs bathrooms were extremely slow to fill causing some problems. The cleaning service did not check the draws in the bedrooms, my daughter found in her bedroom a draw full of trash. (It was the room next to the hot tub). Like I said we had a good experience for the most part and we couldn't have done better on the location. Thanks
