The hosts of our apartment were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. Although their English was limited (we spoke Italian together), they went out of their way to make us feel welcome, from a welcome drink together to a parting gift of blackberries from their garden. The apartment was comfortable for our family of four and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook while we were there. The house is in a typical, small Croatian village, not touristy at all. It's about a 20 minute drive to Risnjak national park, which is very beautiful and unspoiled.
