Quartier Latin 3 Apartments Air-Conditioning

Well prepared, clean and organized

This very secure 2 storey little apartment was located in the Latin Quarter, close to a metro stop, buses, shops, bars and restaurants. We could walk everywhere. It had everything you need including a washing machine. The decor was exceptional and very French. The portable air conditioners were noisy as was the fan down in the bedroom. We were in Paris as the heat wave hit so everyone struggled to get cool. The self check in instructions were very clear. We didn’t require parking.

Steepish stairs to the bedroom, but there was a bathroom off the bedroom. Noisy air conditioners but better noisy than not at all.

Location, easy access to Metro stations, restaurants around the area. The studio is quiet, away from main Street.

Lack of hot water for showers. There are 3 of us (adults), the hot water can only enough for one person, we have to wait for at least 15 mins for the next shower. I guess for this traditional Paris building, it is like that. Also, there is air conditioner in the room, but somehow the unit is not always producing cool air and it is quite loud especially at night.

The property was clean and it was in a safe neighborhood. The double bed was comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with items necessary to make and serve meals. The location was close to a metro stop. There are restaurants, grocery stores and bakeries nearby. The management allowed us to check in early which was very much appreciated. We arrived in the city before noon and the property was ready.

I didn’t like that the courtyard view that was advertised was of garbage cans. There is no view to speak of. The only window in the “apartment” looks out at garbage cans. They did not stink though. The apartment is very small and I believe the pictures of the apartment are deceptive. The pictures make the “apartment” look bigger. The furniture in the pictures is not what is currently in the “apartment.” You will be charged a daily rate for electricity. Read the fine print, although I have not been able to find that information in any of the information when booking the property. I only realized it afterwards. There is a contract you will have to sign and agree to nearly a €500 deposit. The contract information is listed in the information when booking the property. You need to read and open all subcategories to find it. We were so worried about accidentally getting anything on a towel, a wall, the floor and being charged. It is indicated you will be charged for things such as scuff marks on the walls and the floors. Also anything that is left on the towels you may be charged for. I didn’t receive the “contract” until after the date of cancellation. I would have cancelled if I had read the contract prior to the date of cancellation. I cannot recommend this property to my clients nor would I rebook this property upon my return trips to Paris. I hated that I felt like I needed to photograph and video the entire “apartment” both before and after to protect ourselves. We were not charged any additional expenses. Also, there is no way, none, that four people could comfortably stay in this “apartment.”
