The Core Albergue

The property located in quiet neighbourhood, even though it’s close to an elementary school but it didn’t affect much. Just 2 mins away from the subway station and there are coffee shops and convinient store around. The check-in process is confusing me at first but the host was nice and very welcoming, even though he didn’t speak English much but luckily I did understand basic Korean so it’s fine for me. The buidling has elevator so it’s ok for tourists who having many heavy luggage. Technically the property has almost everthing you need for short stay. They had a TV room, kitchen and 2 bathrooms for sharing. Our dorm is ok, each person has a big locker with 3 drawers, 1 fridge inside the room. The bed is extra comfy to me since they made from wood, I think it’s slighty bigger than any other dorm beds cuz it’s customized(?). When I turned while sleeping it didnt make the squeaky sound. The host is quite sponteneous in check out process so if you had any special request, don’t hesitate to speak to them.

Our bedroom’s doorknob was broken and we cannot close it properly. The lock for the bathroom is confusing as well, even though the host show me to push in but the sign say pull out. Whenever I used the bathroom, I did check the lock twice to make sure the door locked. Because when you push inside, it’s locked but when you pull out, it seems not being locked. It happened to me twice when I was showering, there were other female guests pulled the door WITHOUT KNOCKING TO CONFIRM THERE WAS SOMEONE USING THE BATHROOM. (She didnt even apologize for that). So I think the host should put another sign on the door “Please knock before enter”

The common areas. Everything essential things you may need is provided for: elevator, luggage weighing scale, hair dryer, utensils, ac, hot water for your coffee, hot shower, etcetera. The metro is just around the corner too. And the place is located in a quiet environment. You can find restaurants and convenience stores just a few feet away. Actually you can find food everywhere 😄

Not the facility but me sharing a room with strangers so I prefer having a solo room. I'm glad I was able to move to a solo room during my stay.

I love that the staff and very friendly and accommodating

The bathroom could use some refurbishing but otherwise sufficient as it provided strong hot water and big space

1) The air conditioner hangs above the bed, but it can be adjusted so that it does not blow downwards. 2) There is a mosquito net on the window.

1) The TV screen is covered in stains. Apparently, people eat at the table, and the splashes fly towards the TV. Therefore, this TV needs to be mounted on the wall as high as possible. 2) There are a lot of tangled wires on the table. I had to unwind them a bit to get the router to work. The routers are also dirty. It's best to put the wires and routers on the top shelf. 3) There are hairs on the floor in the room. It looks like the floor wasn't washed or even vacuumed before my arrival. 4) Food stains on the table and cabinet. 5) Stains on the chair fabric. It's better to replace it with a stool. The armrests are unnecessary — they knock against the table. 6) Some hairs were found in the towels. 7) The sink and toilet are clean, but there are stains on the glass surfaces in the bathroom. This is unpleasant. 8) A soap dispenser in the bathroom would be more convenient. 9) I found umbrellas on the ground floor. This is convenient, but some umbrellas have sticky handles.
