Me and my partner booked pretty last Minuit and we were taken in with open arms, we arrived and the cabin was lovely and warm awaiting our arrival, the cabin is so clean and very spacious. There’s a little manual which gave us some nice little meals out ideas and beautiful areas to walk around. We can’t thank the individuals who contacted us throughout or time here and we would highly recommend staying here we will definitely be returning in the summer time.
We loved everything about the property, the views and our stay.

Quiet location
Warm cabin
Excellent views
Responsiveness of the hosts was very good
The double bed mattress in our cabin had seen better days. Interrupted sleep as a result.
There seemed to be quite a lot of flies inside the cabin. I appreciate the cabin is located on a farm, but even in October they were around.
Tiny TV in the lounge area.
Shower room looked a bit tired.

Peaceful, well kept and grounds were stunning. Perfect.
WiFi was very poor.

Great rural quiet location. Big cabin. Great shower. Good communications. Good price.
Bed very uncomfortable, could feel all the springs - one of us slept on the sofa. Lots of dog hair in living area. Entrance wooden steps were steep and slippery.

The location was lovely - peaceful and great views all round. Owner quickly responsive when we had a few snags.
A lovely log cabin, with impressive views, let down by being a little tired in places.

Location and communication was top notch.
The complimentary Tea/Coffee & Eggs were much appreciated.
The onsite Honesty Shop was also great, we made use of it and have left one of our purchases to use by the next guests 😋.
The Cabin itself was cosy, warm and with sufficient facilities.
The first thing we noticed as soon as arriving due to being near the end of the day was the lighting. Living area, Hall and the triple room light bulbs were almost useless. We ended up having to switch a lightbulb to be able to see in the bedroom without the need for a torch.
The 2nd comment is the TV. It’s far too small for the size of the Cabin.
The 3rd comment was that there did not seem to be any Chopping Board to prepare food in the kitchen.
The 4th comment was the lack of towels. Luckily we all showered before arriving and were only staying 1 night but if this was part of the details, we missed this point and needs to be made clearer.
The final comment and probably the most important was the mattress’s, unfortunately all of them very soft and you can feel every Spring. Not a great night sleep I’m afraid. We would love to visit again, but not with the current beds.

Excellent location
Very quiet
Kitchen could have had a few more basic items for example a chopping board, a sharp knife

Simple lodges but comfy enough. Brilliant for us as five families visiting from various parts of the country. Loads of room for the kids to run around and it felt safe. We managed to sit out in the evenings around the fire pit together. Beautiful views - such a stunning location. Our lodge had all the added bits we needed - pots/pans and wash up liquid etc.
I’d bring a mattress topper and own linen to make the beds a bit comfier next time. They’re sufficient to needs but I like my luxuries!

It's a great location, friendly, helpful owners.
Incredibly cheap less than £100 a night.
The chalets are large. Yes, they are old worn and a bit creaky, but that adds to the charm.
The beds were great, clean, and comfortable.
The setting is very rural, so expect a few flies. They have a fly light zapper thing, which i enjoyed watching them being zapped.
When you pay so little, you know you are not going to be staying in the Ritz. I would advise that you bring your own pots and pans if you want to cook. Bring your own towels as you have to hire towels.
The only thing I did not like was the mop for the floor was really smelly.

Fantastic location. Plenty of space for the kids to run around. Very safe. 24 hr open Honesty shop is a bonus. Cabin is good size. Very quiet. Really enjoyed our stay.

Didn’t see any hosts. on our journey got information that it was no longer a pony trekking centre but late after we had paid.

Superb location and great views from the cabin. Very beautiful and very relaxing.
The cabin is well equipped and well laid out.
There are a lot to explore within an hours drive.
We had a great few days at Long Mountain, and I would happily stay again.
There are a few issues that should be fixed. The double mattress (maybe even the bed) needs replacing, and all the beds squeak with every movement. The internal door handles need oiling. The hallway lightshade is broken. The bathroom walls need a good wash. There were a lot of flies in the cabin when we arrived, but luckily someone had left flyspray.
Finally, I would recommend sound insulation between the bathroom and double bedroom.
These issues would not stop me from staying again and did absolutely not ruin our stay.

The property was ideal and had wonderful views
Would have preferred the decking to have been enclosed or have a gate so we could have let the dogs on the decking without being on a lead

The ease of booking and the peace and quiet!
The lawnmower started up outside our cabin before 9am while the children were still asleep 😴

Loved the size of it and the view. It had everything we needed inclining a little set of coffee/tea/sugar/eggs and washing up/hand soap.
Shower was hot and powerful.
The mattress was very uncomfortable. We did not sleep well. You could feel every spring. That is the only resin we wouldn’t stay again and for longer.
There was no gate to the balcony area which meant that we couldn’t sit out there and admire the view in the evenings as we’d have to leave the dogs inside.
The tv in cabin 6 was tiny! It hurt our eyes trying to see the tv guide on the telly.
The kettle leaked when poured.

Cabins were superb. Spacious and well equipped. If you’ve come for peace and quiet, this is the place for you! Out in the middle of nowhere but at the same time not far from civilisation.
Lovely hosts. Were great with my daughter who wanted to pet the horses.
We will be coming back soon!
Nothing obvious.

Amazing views from the cabin, lovely peaceful location. The cabin had everything you would need for a short stay. Nice touch with tea/coffee and the honesty shed was great. Although we didn't speak face to face with the hosts they were really responsive and helpful through messages. Wish we could have stayed longer.
The cabin is a little dated, particularly the cooker but it was all fully functional so no real complaints.

Excellent location, views are stunning, very peaceful and quiet, nice hosts, good little honesty shop with bits n bobs available, great pubs nearby, but you will need transport.
Beds are a little soft but okay, a BBQ facility would be nice.

I liked the location and the views as well as the horses/ponies right by you. Plenty of wildlife to spot such as robins, kites, and more.
Old school spring mattresses in the beds however managed to sleep okay in the end.

Lovely location on farm, up single track road. Good central heating and plenty hot water.
Single track road to welshpool is quite rough.
Wooden floor in living space is worn and has gaps.
Kitcken knife blunt!

The peacefulness and area, also the privacy
Some flys but the host was more than happy to sort it

the view was amazing
the furniture in the living room was very worn and there was bits and food in the crevices of the sofas. The fire pit was expensive as we were only able to use it on one of the 2 nights so 35 pound seemed a bit steep.
