Tower View

The location has fantastic views over fields and Blackburn/Darwen. The cottage has been renovated and was comfortable. It was very quiet given the closeness of a busy road. The TV didn't work, however we were out most of the time and declined the offer of fixing. The macerator toilet took a bit of getting used too, especially at night as it's noisy. Value for money was ok. Perhaps a little attention to detail would be beneficial - light bulbs out in bedroom and bathroom. Doggy smell or perhaps dampness? We overcame this by lighting a candle. The garden definitely needs attention. Perhaps whoever cleans the property could make sure glasses etc are washed each time. Great Internet. Outside the front is rough and ready, but an unadopted road. Great shower and bath, plenty of crockery, cutlery, pans etc. Cooker hood is broken in the kitchen. We tried to put the central heating on as it was cool the first night, but it's controlled externally; not a problem really as there is an electric fire. The stairs are extremely steep. To sum up, it was a comfortable stay and we loved it because it was handy for the M65 and dog friendly. The Dog Inn is super.

There wasn’t a bannister which made us nervous up a very steep staircase. The garden needs sort out. The pavement / track up to cottage are very uneven.

This quirky cottage was ideal for our family. Dog friendly and great value for money. It may have its little issues but, only what one expects from an old property. We would book again!
