La gentillesse de l’hôte, l’emplacement.

La literie particulièrement bruyante

A very special accomandation in the small village of Diafani. The hostess was very kind but din´t speak one single word of any other language than greek. We tried with our hands and the help of google translate, but it was hard because the lovely women that was running the place was a fast speaking-person. The room was simple but clean. The bathroom was also of very basic standard, but clean. We got new towels two times during our four night-stay. A big balcony outside the room was pleasant and made the living more spacious. The living was anyway priceworthy.

The doublebed creaked every time you made a move. The wifi was to weak for conecting our tablet. The refrigerator was not working and there was no kitchenspace for doing any simple breakfast. Very important to know that only cash is possible to pay the staying with. And there is no cashmashine in Diafani. Anyway the most taverns accepted cardpayment.

Great location and all you needed in the studio with a large balcony. The landlady was absolutely charming. She brought us offerings of home-made food. Lovely. Diafani is a little gem. The bus journey to Pigadia over the mountains at the end of our stay was brilliant.

- The old lady running the whole hotel on her own was very kind and helpful. She even gave us figs from her field.

- Too small bathroom with poor water flow - When the air condition is open, the balcony floor gets full of water - Really annoying bed, the noisiest I have ever seen - Unacceptable that I was forced to pay in cash but didn’t get a receipt after I asked for it. Using the excuse that she is not living in Karpathos, the hotel owner told that she will send it electronically, but of course she didn’t. Normally the receipt is given exactly after the payment but I guess this hotel applies its own rules.
