Nestled at the foot of Bagnoregio on the grounds of a former monastery founded by followers of St. Francis of Assisi, this property offers a truly unique retreat with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.
What makes this place extraordinary is the dedication and passion of its sole owner and host, Mr. Dante. Transforming this consecrated monastery and chapel into guest accommodations was a true labor of love, it took an incredible 15 years to obtain all the necessary permits, including special authorization from the Vatican. Mr. Dante’s perseverance and vision are evident in every corner of the property, and he takes genuine pleasure when guests appreciate the beauty and uniqueness of his lifelong project.
The gardens are a highlight, especially in early June when arches of flowering jasmine and a variety of vibrant blooms fill the air with their fragrance. Ancient olive trees, some nearly 30 years old and planted by Mr. Dante himself, add to the sense of history and tranquility. He even produces his own olive oil from the orchard on site, a testament to his deep connection with the land.
Accommodations are spread across several charming buildings, each with a private bathroom for comfort and privacy. Breakfast is a delightful selection of sweet pastries, and guests can make their own coffee using a capsule machine with a milk frother, perfect for crafting your own cappuccino. Whether you choose to enjoy breakfast indoors or outside on the terrace, you’re surrounded by the peaceful beauty of the gardens.
After a day exploring Civita di Bagnoregio and the surrounding region, the small plunge pool is a refreshing treat. The property is a tranquil haven, yet ideally located for discovering the many local attractions.

Dante was a brilliant host. We had a lovely relaxing stay here, very nice and clean and amazing views. Such a quirky place, never before have we stayed in a converted church. The area is stunning and the people are so friendly. We would definitely recommend staying here.

This Apartment is special place, you shouldn't miss traveling Toscana. Owner Dante is really nice person. The apartment/house is from 15th century and it's renovated old church. There is beautiful garden with olive trees, citruses and you can relax in many garden lounges or use the pool. Breakfast is in the city in one Caffé, you get croissant, cappuccino and water. Thank you!

Beautiful property with a very nice and cosy room. Dante the owner is a very nice guy. The garden is amazing with a lot of facilities for relaxing. There is an olive tree platation on the property - it’s beautiful. The swimming pool was a bless on a hot day. There is a fan, fridge, TV (we didn’t need it) and a small caffee machine in the room. The city is a short driving distance by car. The accomodation is ideal for dogs too - there is a huge green area and a lot of place in the garden too. There is a very useful wheelbarrow to carry the heavy and huge luggages (like mine :) from the gate to the room. The breakfast is in a small bar in the city.

Dante was an amazing host! He treated us like family, was attentive and available at all times for when we needed help. The house itself which is an old church was well preserved by Dante and family. It is a nice and secluded area, has a beautiful garden and pool. Breakfast was really good too (croissants with apricot jam). Overall we had a great time!
It's a little stuffy in the summer inside but a nice dip in the pool really helps, and it does get cooler in the night.

Very quiet and neat property, a bit outside of town with a beautiful view. The room was beautifully decorated, everything was clean and coffee was provided :)
Breakfast provided at a bar in town (Croissant + Coffee of choice + 500ml water). The lady in the bar was really nice, the croissant good as well, it's just a bit inconvenient to drive somewhere else for breakfast.

This is a rustic room in a gorgeous location on an olive oil production farm and historic church property. Truly one of a kind place with killer views of the valley and mountains, orchards. Breakfast is in a cafe 5 minutes away, as are nice options for supper and the main attraction, civita. The view of this place is not to be missed at the Belvedere. There is a small fridge and Expresso machine in the room, tv and wifi. There is a pool and patios, gardens all around. Not sure if ours is the only room?

What a gem!!
This is the cutest place I stayed in during my travels. It is so cosy, has everything one could need in a small space and it’s perfectly located close to Bagnoregio but surrounded by a garden and lots of greenery which makes it perfect to visit with a dog. Also, Dante, the manager/owner couldn’t be a better host.

Piccola camera immersa nel verde. Cortesia e gentilezza.
Al nostro arrivo la camera era stata ben riscaldata. Il check in è stato facile e siamo stati accolti puntualmente e nel migliore dei modi, con tutte le indicazioni su ciò che avremmo trovato in camera.
La colazione viene portata fresca la mattina, ad un orario da concordare. È tutta dolce e molto abbondante.
Apprezzata la macchinetta del caffè in camera e le bottigliette d'acqua fresche in frigo.
La zona è molto tranquilla, immersa nel verde, silenziosa ed è comodissima per raggiungere in auto Civita di Bagnoregio.
Lo spazio intorno sembra molto bello, credo che d'estate questa posizione sia magica!
La camera è molto piccola e il bagno non ha il bidet, ma il doccino (questo dettaglio non è visibile dalle foto).
La parete con la porta è completamente vetrata sul vialetto di ingresso. Si può chiudere con una tenda esterna che durante l'inverno soffre un po', oppure con un portone di legno che sigilla del tutto, quindi rinunciando alla luminosità della stanza.
Probabilmente d'estate la struttura ha tutto un altro fascino. Ci siamo detti che la prossima volta torneremo in questa stagione.
Abbiamo trovato il materasso un po' scomodo e il cuscino molto sottile.
Suggerirei (per il mio modestissimo parere) pochi piccoli accorgimenti:
- inserire alcune foto intere del bagno e della porta vetrata (anche se sono riportati in descrizione, credo sia più efficace vederli in foto)
- avrei apprezzato una scelta del cucino, per cui consiglierei di aggiungere una coppia di cuscini più "consistenti" sul letto
- aggiungere un succo di frutta alla colazione (ma questi sono gusti... noi avremmo apprezzato molto!)
