The property was really well located in the middle of the resort. A large car park is just across the road - download the EasyPark app for easy payment (15euros a day)The beach was easily accessed and was a 5 minute walk away. A better beach is 15 minutes walk away towards Taormina. The apartment seems typically Sicilian with lovely shuttered windows, and a balcony that runs around the whole perimeter of the apartment. The apartment was huge so there was plenty of room for our family of 4 to spread out and have some space. Air conditioning was in one bedroom and one seating area. Graziana, the host, was available by WhatsApp and was very helpful.

Inevitably, with the central location comes the noise of traffic, which disturbed all of our sleep. While we were there, the hotel opposite was being renovated and construction started at 5.45 am! The apartment is on the second floor (5flights of stairs) which I didn’t feel was made explicit in the ad. Maybe the kitchen could do with a sort-out? The cupboards were very cluttered with all sorts of things that probably weren’t necessary, leaving no room to store anything else. There are no work surfaces. It might be a coincidence, but the WiFi security was weak - a 4g/5g booster cube. Both of my sons’ phones’ security was breached on the first day and they had to reset all their passwords. Mine and my husband’s were fine though. There is no parking on the premises as stated in the ad but you can find parking on the road or in a car park.
