The staff and location.
I don’t think I’ve met nicer and more hospitable staff anywhere I’ve stayed.
Location wise if you want to be in the heart of a traditional Japanese town, you got it. Just be aware that there is not much around the town as far as “modern” amenities or late night activities.

It felt homely and welcoming. The hosts were so warm and kind, encouraging us to mingle with other guests and be part of the special experience that is Fukiya Furusato Village. They were also very genuine. I wish we stayed longer!
Fuzzy toilet seats. Some hand soap downstairs would be good, too.

吹屋地区の中なので早朝からその地区に行くにはとても良いところでした
古民家改造施設なので天井が二階の床板になっていたりして上の客の歩く音が聞こえたりしてとても不快でした。
また食事がなくまた近所にコンビニも無いのが判っていたので宿の連絡先に連絡してもその携帯の持ち主が電源を切っていたりして出なかったのでコンビニで食事類を買っていかなかったので吹屋の中の雑貨屋で買ったけどまともなつまみや食べられるものはそこにはなかった。また単なる宿泊ホテルとして予約したつもりだったのが昔のユースホステルみたいな施設で宿泊客のミーティングもあってそれも目的だったらよいが自分には必要なかったので悪い点になった。
