About this house rental

Now more than ever it is important it is important to choose a home that is thoroughly cleaned and well maintained. We inspect our homes multiple times each month and follow the AHLA Stay Safe Guidelines to ensure your stay is safe and comfortable. Located in the gated community of Truman Annex: a popular and beautifully landscaped community in Old Town Key West. Enjoy the peaceful tropical landscape and pool while only 2 blocks from the excitement of Duval St. We are just outside the entrance to Ft Zachary Taylor State Park and Beach and so close to many of Key West’s popular attractions. After a full day of taking in many of the island's wonderful experiences, come back to all the comforts of home. This open airy home offers a fully furnished kitchen, eating area, living room and 2 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. Two sets of French doors open to a large deck and beautiful private backyard where you can enjoy a meal or relax and sip umbrella drinks on the chaise lounges in your own private tropical paradise. Tracy welcomed us and got us a parking pass to use while we were in Key West. She also had sent us instructions and codes for the condo and bikes before we arrived so we were ready to head out to our favorite places. Kokomo Korner is a very nice condo and in a great location of the Truman Annex. It was our second trip staying in Kokomo Korner and won’t be the last.

Accomodations and location were perfect, we always stay in the truman annex so no.surprises made for a very relaxing vacation...my only complaint is the bath towels as they were quite rough, might be time for new ones (!)

Very clean and well stocked. Within walking distance of many attractions and restaurants and a convenient bus stop nearby for those attractions further away. Bicycles to use to get to anywhere on island. Beach chairs and towels provided. Nice pool available.We all enjoyed our stay.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The little house was just like the pictures. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were bright and cheerful. I used the washer and dryer with no problems. The only problem was the drain in the MB bathtub. I didn’t report the problem until we left.

Hospitality app with all the information needed for check in and check out very convenient. Within walking distance to everything. 2.5 bathrooms a plus. All amenities of home. Secure gated community at night. Follow signs to pool, it's a little hike. Bicycles available. Significant water damage/stained ceilings was our only outlier. Everything else was great! Would stay here again.

We really enjoyed everything about the townhouse especially the courtyard and the location. Having individual bathrooms for each bedroom was a plus, and the house was well equipped. Highly recommend.

Overall, a great stay, great location to walk to Old Town areas. Had a major water issue first day there, but property managers took our calls immediately and got a good plumber out to fix the problem. Then housekeepers came after plumbing was done to help clean up. Rest of stay was good with no major issues. Pool is a bit of a walk from this unit, but pool is warm and pool area is nice. Nice parking spot right in front of rental unit. Lighting in unit a bit poor for our older eyes. Bikes were nice as one couple with us rides every day.

We stayed for a week in Kokomo Korner and it was PERFECT. Everything was clean and neat and anything we needed for a stress-free stay was provided. The location is also perfect, centrally located in Old Town, we were able to walk or ride the provided bikes anywhere. Highly recommend Kokomo Korner.

Ideal location. Spacious back patio upgrades this property from standard rental in Truman Annex. Noisy due to nearness of post office and road, but not a big issue for us. Floors were not particularly clean. Bath tub could use a safety/assist bar, as the tub is deep.

Property is in an ideal location, near Fleming St. gate of Truman Annex. Property was clean and equipped with everything needed for a fun stay. A grill for outdoor cooking would have put it over the top, but we still had everything needed for stay. Would stay here again in the future.

Home is very clean and as pictured. Owner very helpful and responsive. Bikes were a great asset. Location is ideal with the exception of the noise from the post office and gate opening and closing during the night. We are light sleepers so it was disturbing. The property was nice, pool nice, location to activities spot on! The only thing was our property was right next to the gate for the Annex and there was quite a lot of noise from it. Between people coming in at all hours and the businesses in that area, there was little quiet, but we still had an amazing time. The roosters are very vocal!!

I chose this property specifically because it was more affordable than others (fewer fees) and came with two bikes. I was a bit skeptical about the bikes but we were pleasantly surprised. They were newer and VERY nice! I see why other reviews mentioned noise. The most disrupting was the clang of the gate as folks went thru after 6pm. Once we got used to that being a normal sound, it was easier. Also, the car noise from the street at night in the back bedroom (loud bass booming) was common. The post office noise during my morning coffee on the deck was bad. They wheel huge plastic bins loudly across the parking lot! Speaking of the upstairs back deck, I do feel the need to point out the photos show a covered porch but that green canvas roof is gone! It rains here and NOT having an outside covered area (like the photos showed) was VERY disappointing. They need to pull that photo. This unit has a half bath downstairs, a huge plus! Trudging up and down the stairs is not fun. Also great...the air conditioning was the absolute BEST we've ever had in Truman Annex (June is HOT!). The ceiling fan over the bed was perfect at night and both bedrooms had TV's (unusual). The program selections were plentiful. The unit has THE largest outside patio (brick but uncovered). You could easily have a large group dine here. Last plus: fabulous beach chairs (6-8, our last condo had zero), the kind that fold back as loungers with backpack straps making them easy to carry. The negatives...my son and fiance (age 26) said: 1) its too far from the pool (as far as you can get); 2) the gate noise at night is annoying; 3) the shower door in the front bedroom made it impossible to get out of the shower with someone standing at the sink (annoying). My summary: The location is VERY close to everything downtown that you want to walk to. This unit was very clean but did feel small (tight for large folks...MAX 4 adults). For you cooks, this kitchen has ZERO condiments, bring your own! Last Note: keep in mind this unit has no covered parking (we needed that because we have kayaks on our roof). If you don't need covered outside spaces or covered parking, can overcome the noise and distance to the pool, and like bikes, this is a decent value in Truman Annex.

This was our first trip to Key West and it was lovely. There were a total of 13 of us traveling together; my husband and I and two adult children stayed at this property. Everything was as advertised. Very cute outdoor area in the back felt private. We were able to turn the one king bed into two twins, which was a definite bonus. Appreciated the washer and dryer, as it was pretty hot and we felt gross and sticky most days! Perhaps some instructions for the technologically challenged! Tracy was super responsive. We waited to see if we would want to use the additional two bikes... weren't sure. When I texted her to ask if they were still available, she got back to me immediately. Access to the extra bikes was awesome. We buzzed all over. If I had one tiny complaint it would be the rather sparsely appointed kitchen. Certainly not the end of the world. Would definitely stay in Truman Complex again and, specifically at Kokomo Korner!

All amenities were as listed. The property is well kept. Landscapers were there one morning doing cleanup and the insect man came for his monthly visit. The property was only a few block walk to the many restaurants, bars, and shops. We flew in and rented a golf cart for transportation since my wife doesn’t do well walking. It worked great. We visited the beaches, Fort Zachary Taylor, and other attractions. It was Fantasy Fest after all. We ate at various places. Moon Dog Cafe & Bakery, Two Friends Patio, Charlie Mac’s, Pinchers, Bagtells, Schooner Wharf. Great food at all and no problem without reservation. Great ribs at Charlie Mac’s. I highly recommend this property if you need two bedroom. It is a gated community. We never felt unsafe at any time. They have some one bedroom units available in the same area if needed.
