Peaceful shady garden oasis in a busy cultural district, with very atmospheric rooms and friendly and chill staff. We won't even have to look anywhere else next time we are in Yogyakarta. Great breakfast too. Also, if you need a scooter, just ask the host, the rental company they work with is a great service. We did have an issue on the road and they sorted it in 10 minutes. Location is also brilliant, as there is a street always full of streetfood vendors just around the corner, so you'll never be hungry, no matter how late you get back. The staff has great recommendations, if you don't really know what you want to do. Overall the best stay we had in Indonesia, and we stayed at many places. I can only recommend it.

Our stay at Bedhot Homestay was absolute perfection, mostly thanks to the incredible host who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. He is a goldmine of local information, tips, and insights about the main attractions and hidden gems. The highlights of our trip were definitely the experiences he organized for us: The ultimate local welcome: He generously took us into town in his awesome classic VW oldtimer to watch a traditional dance at the Sultan’s Palace! It was an unforgettable, authentic experience. Flawless tour organization: He arranged our transport to Borobudur and the Merapi Jeep Lava Tour. Everything was seamless. The driver he picked for us was fantastic—not only an excellent driver but also spoke great English, which made the trip so much more engaging. Amazing local stops: On our way, we got to visit a local village to see how traditional rice chips are made and stopped at a local café to try the famous Luwak coffee (the special coffee made from coffee beans digested by the civet). The hospitality here is genuine, warm, and unmatched. If you want a place that offers great comfort combined with a truly authentic and well-guided local experience, look no further. Such a nice compound with plenty of greenery and 3 cute cats😊 Owner is very knowledgeable and such an interesting person to talk to! The room is of traditional Javanese style, spacious and clean!!

This is the perfect place if you want to relax in an oasis of peace right near the city. The rooms are big and clean in the tipical javanese style. The common spaces are notable and all the staff is really welcoming and available for any request. Food is also really good and all prices are fair.
