Wake up to panoramic lake views and spend your days swimming, fishing, kayaking, or simply unwinding by the water. The cottage features a private dock, making it easy to bring your boat or cast a line right from the shoreline. Two complimentary kayaks are included, so you can explore the pristine waters of beautiful Hutchins Lake at your own pace.
After a day of adventure, gather on the expansive lakeside patio featuring a relaxing hot tub, cozy fire pit, and plenty of seating to take in the spectacular views. On cooler evenings, curl up inside by the fireplace or enjoy your favorite movie on the large-screen TV in the comfortable, open-concept living room.
The fully equipped kitchen flows into the dining and living areas, creating the perfect space for cooking meals, entertaining, and spending quality time together.

**Please note: the home is separated from Hutchins Lake by a 25-mph two-lane road. Traffic is generally limited to those living or staying on the lake - it is not a main road through town.**
By renting this cottage the below is agreeing to the following terms:
Rental Rules (RULES ARE STRICTLY ENFORCED):
1.) All of our rentals are non-smoking/no Vaping of any kind.
2.) You and your guests are using our home at your own risk. We nor the owner of the property will be held responsible for any injuries that occur at the vacation rental or for any lost or stolen items.
3.) Please get permission and special instruction if you plan on bringing a boat. Tents of any kind are not allowed. NO trailer parking on property at any times. There is parking for 3 cars behind the cottage.
4.) Do not move the furniture.
5.) Each cottage has a maximum number of guests that is listed on this contract you must verify that it is correct. That number is not to be exceeded - this includes children and adults. For fire safety, we are required to limit the number in each home. If additional people are found to be staying at the cottage the entire group will be asked to vacate with no refund. Inflatable mattresses or alternative sleeping other than pack n plays or cribs are not allowed. Tents are also not allowed on the property. During the day there can be no more than 1.5x the occupants of the cottage.
6.) Pets are permitted with approval and payment of pet fee. Pets cannot be left alone at property and must be on a leash outside on premises. If a pet is on the property without permission then there will be a $1500 fee and it will be required that the owner board the pet immediately.
7.) Damages are to be reported during your stay. If we find damage after you vacate, you authorize the charge to your credit card for replacement or repair or provide another credit card number, pay by cash or check. Damages reported upon arrival will not be guests' responsibility.
8.) Cleaners will come to the cottage after you have departed - they will not visit to clean, change linens, or replace towels during your stay. Please contact the office should you need assistance during your stay regarding any cleaning items.
9.) Grills are to be cleaned after each use.
10.) Quiet time is after 10pm nightly. We do not tolerate loud groups and college like parties anytime of the day or night.
11.) You are at least 25 years old and will be able to verify with valid identification during your stay if needed.
12.) Weddings and formal events are NOT permitted on our properties, if there is found to be a formal event on the property the entire group will be asked to vacate the property with a no refund. It is acceptable to have a visitors during the day hours but that number can not be more than double the maximum occupancy of the cottage.
13.) No more than 5 people in the hot tub at a time. Please rinse of all oils and lotions before entering the hot tub as the filter will not be able to keep up. KIDS CAN NOT BE IN THE HOT TUB WITOUT AN ADULT!
14.) There may be wood for the fire pit and fireplace that you are welcome to use but it is not provided. You can get firewood at most all local gas stations and stores.
15.) Fireworks are prohibited at ALL times.
16.) Dock in front of cottage is private to cottage only, please do not go on any other docks or properties. Kayaks may be launched from this dock. Dock and Kayaks are used at the guests discretion, life jackets are required and all kids under 18 must be supervised by an adult. Quaint Cottages nor the owner will be responsible for any accidents due to the property and its use. Use at your own risk.

*Disclosure: There may be cameras with sound at outside entrances of cottages ONLY.
These rules are strictly enforced due to NEW city and township ordinances. This contract is the only warning you will get. If any rules are not followed all local fines, security deposits and any other charges will be charged to guest and the entire group will be asked to vacate the property. This communication is necessary so that your vacation experience is a good one for your group and our neighboring community. Please ENJOY your stay!

Although the weather didn't cooperate for most of our stay - the cabin was perfect for our family. It's close to Saugatuck and Holland with plenty of activities. The hot tub was a big feature given the cold weather. I was also pleasantly surprised by all of the toys, books, etc for our small children to play with during their stay. Would definitely recommend for a family stay on a beautiful lake.

I along with my daughter, son-in-law and grandson spent several enjoyable days at this cottage in August. Lots of pleasant, comfortable space inside the cottage, a large backyard for our grandson to play in, and a lovely patio that offered a spectacular view of Hutchins Lake. Nice outdoor seating, a fire pit and hot tub. We all thought it was one of the most restful vacations ever with ideal amenities. We'll hope to reserve again. Thanks so much!

Our group of 8 (6 adults, 2 children) had a great weekend at Bluegill Hill. We had eveything we needed inside and out and the location is perfect. The road separating the house from the lake was busier than I originally envisioned, but it wasn't a problem. The lake was shallow near the dock, perfect for swimming and kayaking, and the views were beautiful. The hottub and firepit were ready to go with plenty of fire wood available. Close to Saugatuck but away from the crowds. I would definitely recommend and return to the property.

We've stayed at many VRBO properties, and many for less than what we were charged per night at this property. To be blunt, the house is a little ragged. We found many chipped plates, silver material pealing from the utensils, etc. Never stayed at a property where coffee filters and laundry detergent are not provided. Beach towels are not provided. The house capacity per the listing is 8, yet there's lounge seating for maybe 4 in the "living room" . Again, much better choices out there!!
